If you’ve done any research into supplements for yourself, you’ll have probably already come across the P6 range by Cellucor.

Cellucor P6 Original is the flagship supplement in the range, and it promises to bring a host of benefits.

The Cellucor P6 range includes Cellucor P6 Chrome, Cellucor P6 Extreme Pump and Cellucor P6 Ultimate.

But if you’re looking to find out all of the important information about P6 Original, then you’re in the right place.

Our Cellucor P6 Original review is going to focus on all of the important things you need to know about this particular supplement so you can decide if it’s the right product for you or not.

We’re going to look at the ingredients formula, the customer reviews and the servings as we look to see if it makes it onto our list of the leading so-called ‘testosterone booster’ supplements on the market right now.

There are so many supplements available in this category these days that it can be difficult to separate the good from the not-so-good.

So, let’s get cracking and start taking a closer look at Cellucor P6 Original from all angles.

What does Cellucor P6 Original do?

So, we’ve already gathered that Cellucor P6 Original fits into the broader range of supplements known as so-called ‘testosterone boosters’.

These types of supplements have become incredibly popular in recent years.

They are essentially products which use natural ingredients to help to support your goals as you look to take responsibility for your results.

Cellucor P6 Original is available to buy at various online outlets including Amazon and the GNC website.

According to the listing on Amazon, this supplement will help you in a number of ways as you look to achieve your goals.

The official Cellucor website claims that P6 Original is a “safe and effective” way to help boost your chances of success.

The marketing material goes on to claim that P6 Original will be “unlike anything you’ve tried before”.

Of course, this all sounds pretty good to us, but we’ve learnt to ignore most of the marketing hype when it comes to supplements.

Instead, we prefer to focus on the ingredients formula, real customer reviews and the servings.

So, with that in mind, it’s time to start taking a close look through the Cellucor P6 Original ingredients formula to see whether this product can live up to the hype or not.

What you need to know about the ingredients

Let’s begin this part by looking at the actual Cellucor P6 Original ingredients label as shown on the packaging.

Cellucor P6 ingredients

It’s very disappointing to see that Cellucor have chosen to use a proprietary blend with this product.

It means that we don’t actually know the exact doses of the ingredients used.

We generally advise that you stay away from supplements that use proprietary blends, as there’s really no reason why a supplement manufacturer wouldn’t be willing to share their full formula with their customers.

Anyway, let’s now focus on the main ingredients in the Cellucor P6 Original blend.

• KSM-66 Ashwagandha – This is actually a pretty good ingredient. Ashwagandha is a plant extract that has been used for years in traditional Indian medicine. It’s found in a few of the leading products in this category out there right now.

• Fenugreek – Another solid ingredient. It’s a common addition to certain dishes and is also found in quite a lot of the top products in this category.

• Ovine Placenta Powder – This ingredient doesn’t need much of an introduction. Yes, it comes from a sheep’s placenta. The thought of consuming it is pretty disgusting to us. We’re not big fans of this, if we’re honest.

• Common Mushroom – Also known as Agaricus Bisporus. We’ve come across this ingredient in some of the similar supplements out there. We’re not totally convinced about its effectiveness though.

• Stinging Nettle Root Extract – This ingredient is found in a number of similar supplements. As you’ve probably guessed, it comes from the root of the stinging nettle plant. Again though, we’re not totally convinced about its use in a supplement like this.

• LongJack – Also known as Eurycoma Longifolia, this is an extract which comes from a flowering plant in the family Simaroubaceae, which is mainly native to Indonesia and Malaysia. It is often found in supplements like this, but we’re not totally convinced.

• Diindolylmethane – Also known as DIM, this is a nutrient found in green vegetables such as Broccoli. Again, it’s a relatively common ingredient, but we are not totally convinced about it.

What’s missing?

The Cellucor P6 Original formula certainly has some good things in it. For example, the KSM-66 Ashwagandha and Fenugreek are solid inclusions in our opinion.

However, P6 Original is also missing some of our favorite ingredients that we like to see in products like this.

They are:

• Magnesium and Zinc
• D-Aspartic Acid
• Black Pepper Extract

We always like to see magnesium and zinc used in these kinds of supplements. In case you didn’t know, Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal serum testosterone concentrations. It was a real shame that neither of them made it into the P6 Original formula.

It was also a shame not to find any D-Aspartic Acid in this supplement. It’s a popular ingredient that we like to see used.

And Black Pepper Extract is a great ingredient for any supplement. It was disappointing not to find it in the formula.

Are there any Cellucor P6 Original side effects?

You should always do your own research into the ingredients of any supplement you’re considering trying for the first time.

Generally speaking, these types of products made by the big brands are pretty safe, but that doesn’t mean that there are no side effects for everyone.

Pay particular attention to make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients.

We also strongly recommend that you speak to your doctor before thinking about taking any new supplement for the first time.

How to take Cellucor P6 Original

Each bottle of Cellucor P6 Original contains either 120 or 180 capsules. The cheapest bottle costs around $90.

The directions for taking Cellucor P6 Original are pretty simple.

They say that you should take one serving (2 capsules) in the morning with or without food, and then take another serving (2 capsules) in the evening before bed.

Bear in mind that if you take four capsules a day, the 120-count bottle will last you for 30 days.

What are customers saying?

There were 247 Cellucor P6 Original reviews on Amazon at the time of writing. It had an average rating of 3.8 out of 4 stars.

One customer was very happy with it and claimed that this supplement helped them quite a lot.

However, one two-star review on the official Cellucor website claimed that they had noticed “no change” despite having taken P6 Original for three weeks.

Is this the best supplement?

Cellucor P6 Original has a few decent ingredients, but it doesn’t make it onto our list of the best products in this category right now.

That’s because it uses a proprietary blend and also misses out some important (in our eyes at least) ingredients such as D-Aspartic Acid, Magnesium and Zinc.

Anything else to consider?

You should always remember that there is no such thing as a ‘magic pill’ to success.

The first things you should always do is make sure that you’re sticking to a solid exercise regime and eating healthily.

A good supplement can help to support you on your journey, but only if it’s combined with the right lifestyle choices.

That means making sure you’re training hard, eating right, and getting plenty of rest too.

Cellucor P6 Original review conclusion

That brings us to the end of our Cellucor P6 Original review.

Overall, we think that this is an OK supplement, but we expected more with its $90 price-tag.

We feel that it’s let down badly by the fact that it uses a proprietary blend to hide the doses of the ingredients, and it’s also missing some of our favorite inclusions such as Magnesium, Zinc and D-Aspartic Acid.

Overall, this supplement doesn’t make it into our list of the best products out there right now.
