Product website:

Before we get started, it’s important to remember that products like this one are food supplements, and they are not intended to be replace a healthy, balanced diet. Rather, they are designed to be used alongside a healthy diet and lifestyle.

As we all know, protein is an important macronutrient that contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass, so it’s important to ensure that you are consuming enough from your diet.

This review is going to take a detailed look at Form Performance Protein to see if it’s a product worth trying or not.

We’re going to concentrate specifically on the ingredients formula, the taste and the nutritional contents as we look to see if it makes it onto our list of the best vegan protein powders in the uk on sale right now.

We’re also going to see what real customers are saying about this product to see how it has been received by the market.

So, with the introductions out of the way, let’s start taking a closer look at Form Nutrition’s Performance Protein from all angles.

What is Form Nutrition Performance Protein?

First off, let’s start by looking at the company behind this product – Form Nutrition.

Form Nutrition Performance Protein

Founded in the UK in 2017, Form Nutrition is a plant-based supplements company providing a range of different products to help support your health.

They are regarded as one of the top plant-based supplement companies around and they have a reputation for creating quality products.

The Performance Protein is their main vegan protein offering and it is designed to give you a healthy dose of plant-based protein along with some other nutrients.

It is marketed as a “post workout” supplement designed to be taken after training and it has some pretty good things going for it.

First off, each serving contains 30g of protein, which is pretty good for a plant-based supplement like this.

Secondly, it has a range of added ingredients which all offer potential benefits. For example, this product contains active bacteria as well as a range of digestive enzymes.

This supplement is currently available in three flavours:

• Vanilla
• Chocolate Peanut
• Tiramisu

It uses a blend of three different proteins from plant sources and is designed to provide a healthy additional dose of protein to your plant-based diet.

Form’s Performance Protein is a tad more expensive than other products we’ve found in this category. A 520g bag currently costs £26 on Amazon, but this supplement certainly ticks the boxes when it comes to being a ‘premium’ product.

So, now that we’ve covered the basic facts about this product, let’s move on to the all-important ingredients label.

The Ingredients

Let’s kick off this part by looking at the ingredients and nutrition facts about this supplement:

Form Nutrition Performance Protein Ingredients

Form Nutrition Performance Protein Ingredients

As you can see for yourself, the ingredients list is a pretty short and clean one, which we always like to see.

Editor's note: The health claims about the ingredients mentioned in this article are listed as authorised on the EU Register at the time of publishing.

The first thing worth noting is that each serving contains a good dose of 30g of protein, which is more than a lot of the other similar plant-based supplements out there.

The protein in this supplement comes from three sources: Brown Rice Protein, Whole Algal Protein and Organic Pea Protein Isolate.

As well as the main sources of protein, this supplement also contains the probiotic Lactobacillus Acidophilus and a blend of digestive enzymes.

Other than that, the only other ingredients are the sweetener, natural flavourings, sea salt and curcumin and black pepper extract.

It’s great to see that Form have used Stevia and Thaumatin as their two sweeteners for this product. This means that the sweet tastes come from natural sources rather than anything artificial.

Let’s now move on to how it’s recommended that you take this product.

How To Take Form Nutrition Performance Protein

The directions for this supplement are pretty straightforward. They simply say that you should mix 40g (two scoops) with 300ml water or your preferred non-dairy milk.

The label says that this supplement is best served cold or with ice, and that you should drink one or two servings a day either between meals or after exercise.

There is an additional warning saying that this product should not be used as a substitute for a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet, and that you shouldn’t not exceed the recommended daily intake.

What Are Customers Saying?

We took a look online to see what real customers were saying about Form’s Performance Protein.

At the time of writing, this supplement had an average rating of 3.9 out of five stars on Amazon in the UK from 94 reviews.

One happy customer left a five-star review and said that they were delighted to see it available on Amazon UK after having been a fan of it for some time.

Meanwhile, one more negative review came from somebody who left a three-star rating and said that they were disappointed by the flavour.

Generally speaking though, the feedback around this product is largely positive from what we could tell.

Any Negatives?

• It’s expensive, even for a vegan protein powder. One 520g pouch costs £26 and contains 13 servings. It’s a bit disappointing that bigger pouches aren’t available.

• Some people may find the sweet taste a little bit too much for their liking.

Our Verdict – Is This The Best Vegan Protein Powder Supplement?

So, what did we think about Form’s Performance Protein after having used it for a few weeks?

Simply put, we loved it. We tried the Vanilla flavour and it tasted incredible when blended into a smoothie with a banana and some berries. Usually, we’d use Almond Milk, but this protein powder tastes great even when mixed with just water.

It has a great texture and isn’t too grainy, and it mixes really well. It is a very sweet product, and indeed some people may find it a little bit too sweet for their liking. However, we loved it!

We think that the Performance Protein is one of the best vegan protein supplements on sale right now in the UK, and you’re not going to go too far wrong by giving it a go.

Anything Else to Consider?

As we mentioned above, a supplement like this is not intended to be used as a substitute for real food and a healthy and balanced diet.

Instead, it should be used where needed if you are looking to top up your protein intake from time to time.

You should not take any supplement for the first time before speaking to your doctor first. This is especially important if you are pregnant or have any underlying medical condition.

And remember, the key to good health is a balanced and healthy diet, combined with regular exercise and enough quality sleep.

Review Conclusion – Our Final Thoughts

That brings us to the end of our review of Form Nutrition’s Performance Protein.

Overall, we rate this product very highly and think it’s one of the best vegan protein powders on the market in the UK right now.

Yes, it is a little bit expensive but we love the way it tastes and the fact that it has a clean ingredients formula.
