Grenade 50 Caliber is a pre workout supplement designed to get you performing at your best in the gym.

The manufacturers say that it’s been designed with a “4-phase energy complex” to make your workouts feel like an “assault”.

It’s also claimed to help improve your focus to help you get the very most out of your trips to the gym.

So, is this pre workout supplement all it’s cracked up to be?

In this review article, we’re going to take a thorough look at the ingredients, check out the customer reviews and compare it to some of the leading products on sale right now.

Let’s start off our Grenade 50 Caliber review with the basic information and facts.

What does Grenade 50 Caliber do?

It’s billed as a “pre workout devastator” designed to get you firing on all cylinders at the gym.

Grenade say that this supplement has been created to deliver energy, pump and strength to make sure that you don’t waste a single minute of your training sessions.

If you’re new to pre workouts, they’re supplements which are designed to boost your training sessions to make sure you’re feeling at your best while at the gym or while playing sport.

We recently selected our top pick of the best pre workout supplements on the market right now, where you’ll also find more information about what to look for.

But back to 50 Caliber – let’s take a close look at exactly what’s in this supplement.

What you need to know about the ingredients

50 Caliber does contain a decent mix of ingredients, including some of our top rated pre workout substances. That said, there are also some things missing in our opinion, but first let’s focus at what is in this product.

• Caffeine Anhydrous – If you’re looking for that extra boost of energy and focus in the gym, look no further than Caffeine. It’s a golden oldie but has been proven to help raise energy levels and boost endurance. Obviously, if you tend to work out in the evenings, we recommend taking a non-stimulant pre workout. One drawback – 300mg per scoop is a lot, and so some people may have to be careful with this.

• L-Citrulline – Another of our top-rated pre workout ingredients, we were pleased to find L-Citrulline on the label. 50 Caliber contains 4g per scoop, which should be more than enough for it to boost your muscle pumps. A slight downside: it’s not delivered in our favorite form, Citrulline DL-Malate.

• L-Theanine – Known for its calming effects, this amino acid can help you to get the very best out of the caffeine in this product, without it causing any of the downsides such as the jitters or energy crashes later in the day.

• Creatine Hydrochloride – We’re always in favor of creatine in a pre workout supplement because it can help improve hydration and endurance. Each serving of 50 Caliber contains 1.5g.

• Citrus Aurantium (Bitter Orange) – We’ve not seen bitter orange included in too many pre workout supplements before. It’s usually included in fat burner supplements, but even then its role is questionable. We’re not huge fans of this ingredient, especially because we’ve read about it causing problems in some people when combined with caffeine.

Those are the top ingredients in 50 Caliber, check out the full list below, along with the individual doses of each ingredient:

What’s missing?

Although 50 Caliber does contain a lot of solid ingredients, there are also a few things missing, which means we don’t rate it as one of the best pre workouts on sale at the moment.

Firstly, there was no Beetroot Extract, which has been shown to help increase blood flow and lead to amazing muscle pumps.

Rhodiola Rosea is another top ingredient overlooked by 50 Caliber. It’s a herb which can help to improve cognition and overall mood.

There was also no Coconut Powder, another of our top rated pre workout ingredients.

Are there any side effects?

These kinds of products are usually pretty safe because they tend to only include natural ingredients.

The one thing to look out for is stimulant content. We’ve found that a lot of pre workouts tend to overdo it on things like caffeine and guarana.

A good dose of caffeine is not a bad thing on it’s own, the problem is that when it’s combined with regular cups of coffee or other supplements which contain caffeine, it can cause problems such as the jitters or disrupted sleep.

We have to say that 50 Caliber is a bit heavy on the stimulants, containing 300mg per serving, plus another 50mg of DiCaffeine Malate.

We also recommend that you carefully check the ingredients list yourself to make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the substances.

How to take 50 Caliber

Grenade 50 Caliber is sold in packs of 30 servings.

At the time of writing this article, it’s available in three flavors – Orange Pineapple, Wild Punch and Fireball.

The directions say that you should mix one serving (two scoops) of 50 Caliber with water and take it around 30 minutes before starting your training session.

We always recommend assessing how long it takes to ‘kick in’ for you, because it tends to vary a little bit from person to person.

What are customers saying?

We found quite a lot of reviews of 50 Caliber online, and the majority of them seemed to be fairly positive.

One customer said that they were impressed and that no other pre workout has ever worked for them like this one has.

Someone else claimed that it made them feel as if they could “bench press a planet”.

Another user said that two flavors tasted great, although there were a couple of other people who reported that it didn’t work for them at all.

Is this the best pre workout?

It’s a decent option, but not the best in our opinion.

Anything else to consider?

As we always say when reviewing health and fitness supplements, don’t expect a pre workout to do all of the hard work for you.

You’ll still have to make sure that you’re ready to train hard in the gym – the supplement won’t lift weights for you.

If you’re a regular reader of our health and fitness articles, you’ll know that we always recommend making sure that your diet and training regime is on point first, before considering taking any supplements at all.
