The bready snack, available from MuscleFood.com, was created by Dr Zak’s. It is made from protein isolates and contains the same about of protein as a rib eye steak.
The recipe was developed by Dr Zak Pallikaros, who creates guilt-free carby treats for the health conscious and fitness enthusiasts.
The bagels, which contain 24g of protein, were introduced into the MuscleFood.com range after high demand from customers who loved the protein bread and pasta from the site. They have since received rave reviews.
Darren Beale from MuscleFood.com said: “Getting a source of protein at the start of your day is vital, especially if you are training.
“However some of us don’t always fancy meat in the morning and often don’t have the time.
“These bagels are a speedy way of getting an energy and protein boost in the morning without the carbs. They keep you fuller for longer and won’t leave you with hunger pangs come mid-morning.
