Hydroxycut is one of the leading supplement brands around, so we’re always keen to hear about the latest additions to the range.
Hydroxycut Ultra is a popular supplement that’s been designed to help support your goals.
It’s claimed to work in two main ways to help you on your journey.
But does it live up to the marketing hype and is it really as good as it’s claimed to be?
The purpose of this Hydroxycut Ultra review is to take a close look at the ingredients used, assess the customer reviews, and decide whether we rank this as one of the best supplements around right now.
So, let’s get down to business and start taking a close look at Hydroxycut Ultra.
Essentially, Hydroxycut Ultra is a supplement that contains a number of ingredients to help support you on your journey.
According to the official website, Hydroxycut Extra will help you in multiple ways to achieve your goals.
The best supplements do tend to work in multiple ways to help support you on your journey towards hitting your goals.
Hydroxycut Ultra ticks two boxes in this case, it was just a shame that they don’t seem to have designed the product for triple-action.
Let’s now take a look at the all important ingredients label so we can judge just how effective or non-effective this product is.
The ingredients label will usually offer you the best insight into whether a fat burner is going to be a good product or not. You can check out our dedicated guide to the best ingredients to learn more about them.
Let’s start off by taking a close look at the ingredients label itself to see whether it’s any good.
The first disappointing thing we noticed on the label is that Hydroxycut uses a proprietary blend.
We don’t like to see this in any supplements because it means that the manufacturers have chosen not to show the individual doses of the ingredients. This makes it really hard to judge effectiveness, so we’re not fans of this at all.
Let’s now take a look at some of the better ingredients in Hydroxycut Ultra:
• Robusta Coffee Bean Extract – This is essentially the same as Green Coffee Bean Extract. We we’re big fans of this ingredient because unroasted coffee beans are rich in a substance called Chlorogenic Acid. It’s a common and good ingredient for supplements in this category.
• Coffee Extract – For some reason, the makers have chosen to use another type of Coffee Extract in the same supplement. According to the label, this provides 100mg of Caffeine per two-capsule serving. Caffeine is a great ingredient, but we’d prefer to see it included in a purer form, such as Caffeine Anhydrous.
• Raspberry Ketones – This is another common ingredient and can actually be found in our pick of the best supplement for women on the market right now.
• Cayenne Pepper – This is another good ingredient. Cayenne Pepper is commonly used in the top supplements in this category. The problem we have with its inclusion in Hydroxycut Ultra is that because of the proprietary blend, we’ve no idea how much is included per serving, so it’s difficult to judge effectiveness.
• Coconut Water – Coconut water is packed full of nutrients and is now available as a drink in many stores. It’s a good ingredient, but we think it’s more useful in a good pre workout supplement than one like this.
Those are the main ingredients in Hydroxycut Ultra. You can check out the full list by looking at the label above.
Hydroxycut Ultra contains some good ingredients but it’s let down by the fact that it uses a proprietary blend and is missing some key substances in our opinion.
Firstly, it was disappointing not to find any Green Tea Extract in this product. It’s one of our favorite ingredients found in many top products and it was disappointing not to find it on the label.
It was also a shame that Hydroxycut Ultra doesn’t contain any Glucomannan. Another one of our favorite ingredients, it’s a dietary fiber which comes from the root of the Konjac plant.
There was also no Black Pepper Extract on the label, which was a big shame.

We always recommend doing your own research into the ingredients before taking a new supplement for the first time.
Most supplements in this category are usually pretty safe because they tend to just include approved ingredients.
The main issue we have with Hydroxycut Ultra, as we mentioned above, is that because it uses a proprietary blend, it makes it difficult to judge the effectiveness of the product.
We do know that it uses 100mg of Caffeine per serving, which is a decent amount. The problem is that we don’t know the doses of all of the other ingredients.
This is why we always recommend steering clear of supplements that don’t clearly state the doses of the individual ingredients on the label.
We do also always recommend speaking to your doctor before taking any new supplement for the first time.
Each bottle of Hydroxycut Ultra contains 72 “rapid release” capsules.
That means that if you take the recommended dose of four capsules per day, one bottle will last you for just 18 days.
The label says that you should take two capsules, twice daily and between 30 and 60 minutes before your main meals. There is a warning saying never to take more than four capsules in one day.
As this supplement contains caffeine, we would not recommend taking Hydroxycut Ultra within six hours of going to bed.
At the time of writing this Hydroxycut Ultra review, we found 67 customer comments on Amazon. It currently has a rating of 3.5 out of five stars.
One customer said that it worked for them but said to make sure that you drink enough water when taking this supplement.
Someone else said it was a “great” supplement and that they recommended it for helping to support your goals.
However, there were also some negative reviews. One other person said that they did not lose one pound when taking the product.
And someone else said that Hydroxycut Ultra simply didn’t work for them at all.
Not in our opinion. Although Hydroxycut Ultra does contain a few good ingredients, there are also quite a lot of things missing.
It’s also a shame that they used a proprietary blend, because it means we don’t know the doses of the individual ingredients.

Overall, we think this is a decent product but it’s let down by the fact that it uses a proprietary blend and is missing lots out our top recommended ingredients.
