Lean Degree Maximum Strength is a product made by PhD Supplements. It contains a number of ingredients to help support you on your journey.

In this review, we’re going to take a close look at Lean Degree, checking out the ingredients as well as reading some customer reviews.

What does Lean Degree Maximum Strength do?

Lean Degree Maximum Strength is a supplement designed to help with weight management and is described by PhD Supplements as their “strongest” ever product of this type.

The manufacturer says that it has been designed to deliver “serious results” and using potent ingredients.

The website says that it’s aimed at both men and women and that it has been specifically formulated to help you achieve your body goals.

Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients to see what Lean Degree is made of and how it stands in comparison to some of the similar other products out there right now.

What you need to know about the ingredients

Like most supplements of this type, Lean Degree contains a number of different ingredients and stimulants.

There are some good inclusions in the list, but there are also some key ingredients missing in our opinion. But more on that later.

• Green Tea Extract – This is a very common ingredient in supplements of this type. It’s usually one of the first things we look for on the label when choosing a product in this category, so we were pleased to find it in the Lean Degree Maximum Strength formula.

• Caffeine – Another classic ingredient. Caffeine is probably the most popular stimulant on the planet and coffee drinkers will need no introduction to it. We’re always pleased to find it in the leading products in this category, so it is a good addition to the Lean Degree Maximum Strength formula. 400mg per daily serving may be a bit much for some people though.

• Cayenne Pepper Extract – This is another ‘must-have’ ingredient in supplements of this type. It’s a one of our favorites and is something that’s often overlooked in supplements like this, so it’s great to see it included in Lean Degree. The only issue we have is that the dosage is quite low.

• Green Coffee Bean Extract – This is another great inclusion and an ingredient which is too often overlooked. Before they’re roasted, coffee beans are extremely rich in Chlorogenic Acid. It’s great to see that Green Coffee Bean makes the cut – and each daily serving of Lean Degree Maximum Strength contains 120mg.

• Black Pepper Extract – If you’ve read our supplement reviews before, you’ll know that we’re huge fans of black pepper extract. We consider it to be an absolutely key ingredient in any supplement and so it’s great to see it in the formula. Lean Degree contains Bioperine, which is essentially branded black pepper extract.

Other ingredients included in Lean Degree include Alpha Lipoic Acid, Bitter orange peel, L-Carnitine L-Tartrate and Dandelion root.

We’re not huge fans of Bitter Orange Peel as an ingredient in this supplement. It may be worth doing some of your own research into this ingredient.

What’s missing?

While we were quite impressed by the ingredients on the label of this product, there are still a number of things missing.

We were disappointed to see that Glucomannan wasn’t included. We always tend to look for it in products of this nature because it’s a dietary fiber which comes from the root of the Konjac plant and is a popular inclusion in products like this.

We also think that products of this type need to include things like Zinc and B Vitamins to be classified as a truly premium product.

Chromium is another trace element we always want to see included, because it contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism.

So, Lean Degree does tick a lot of boxes but we feel there are some other good products out there that contains some decent things in them.

Are there any side effects?

First off, you should always carefully check the label to make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients.

The main thing to be aware of with products of this type is the caffeine content.

Each capsule of Lean Degree contains 100mg of caffeine, which is quite a lot, especially if you’re going to be consuming four capsules a day.

We also noted that there are some reports of bitter orange causing problems, so it’s worth looking into this in some more detail.

As ever, we do recommend that you speak to your doctor before taking any new supplement for the first time, just to be on the safe side.

How to take Lean Degree Maximum Strength

Each bottle of Lean Degree Maximum Strength contains 100 capsules. The label says that you should take two capsules twice a day.

They recommend that you take your first serving 30 minutes before exercise if you’re training.

There’s a warning on the website saying not to take this product after 5pm, presumably because the caffeine content could affect your sleep.

What are customers saying?

We weren’t able to find too many reviews of this product online.

However, the few we did find were on Amazon and they were largely positive.

One customer said that they really felt the benefits and that Lean Degree didn’t give them the ‘shakes’.

Another user said they had noticed a difference straight away after they started taking them, and someone else said they were using Lean Degree as an effective pre workout supplement.

Is this the best supplement?

It’s a good option but falls short of being one of the top products out there right now in our opinion.

Although Lean Degree does tick a lot of the boxes in terms of ingredients, there are some key things missing in our opinion, and the doses of what is included could be stronger.

We’ve recently picked out our selection of the best five supplements on sale right now, and you can check them out by clicking the link below.

Anything else to consider?

As we always say when talking about products like this, they should not be the focus of your health and fitness regimen.

The first thing you should do is make sure that your overall health is in check by eating right and exercising regularly.

Only then should you consider adding a supplement like Lean Degree Max Strength to your regimen.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a ‘magic pill’. A supplement can help to support you on your journey – but you must be training hard and eating right first.

Review conclusion – our final thoughts

So, is this a good supplement option for you? There are some good and bad things about Lean Degree, here it is in a nutshell:

Pros:
• Some Good ingredients
• Popular brand

Cons:
• Missing things like Zinc and B Vitamins
• High caffeine content could be a problem
• We’re not fans of Bitter Orange

Check out our list below, in which we’ve picked out the best five supplements on sale at the moment based on the ingredients formulas and reviews.

So there we have it, our review of PhD Lean Degree Maximum Strength. We’ve walked you through the ingredients list and also pointed out a few aspects in which this product falls a bit short of the competition.

Overall, this is a pretty strong product but we can’t help but feel that there are some better options elsewhere at the moment.
