Let’s now turn our attentions to the actual ingredients used in NLA For Her Uplift.
Let’s begin this part by looking at the main ingredients label of NLA For Her Uplift as shown on the tub.
It’s really disappointing that this supplement uses proprietary blends to hide the doses of many of the ingredients.
We generally advise that you stay away from products that use proprietary blends, as they mean that you don’t know the exact doses of the ingredients used.
Let’s now take a look at the main ingredients in the Uplift formula.
• Vitamins B6 and B12 – Both good inclusions for a supplement like this. Both Vitamin B6 and B12 contribute to normal energy release and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
• Beta Alanine – This is a common pre workout ingredient and one we like to find in products of this type. Most of the top supplements in this category use Beta Alanine. For example, the female pre workout Powher uses it as a main ingredient.
• Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid – A decent inclusion that makes it into some of the top products. But because of the proprietary blend it’s difficult to tell if the dosage is sufficient for benefits.
• L-Carnitine – This is another common inclusion in the top pre workout supplements and we always like to see it in products like this. A good ingredient.
• L-Lysine – An amino acid. It’s found in some pre workout and other fitness supplements.
• Glycine – Another amino acid in the formula. It’s not the most common ingredient for a supplement of this type.
• Isoleucine, Valine, Leucine – These are your BCAAs or Branched Chain Amino Acids. They are often taken in supplement for pre and post workout. Again though, we don’t know the dose used.
• L-Threonine – Yet another amino acid in the NLA For Her Uplift formula.
• L-Phenylalanine – Yes, you’ve guessed it. It’s another amino acid in the formula. L-Phenylalanine is thought to have some benefits, but we’re not too sure what it’s doing in a pre workout.
• Caffeine – We like to see small doses of Caffeine used in pre workout supplements. It’s a good ingredient and you probably already know all about its benefits. However, it’s not ideal that we don’t know the dose because of the proprietary blend.
• Phenylethylamine Hcl – Not the most common pre workout ingredient. We think that there are better things that could have been used in its place.
• L-Tyrosine Alpha Ketoglutarate – An amino acid commonly found in nuts, eggs, beans and oats. Not a bad inclusion and a common ingredient for a pre workout.
• Schisandra Extract – We’ve not come across this plant extract ingredient in any pre workout supplements before. We’re not too convinced about it.
• Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate (DMAE) – We’re not too sure what this ingredient is doing in the NLA For Her Uplift formula. We feel that something more proven could have been used in its place.
Overall, this is not the worst formula we’ve come across for a pre workout.
That being said, it’s far from ideal that it uses a proprietary blend to hide the doses of so many ingredients.
It’s also not great that it seems to include a lot of ingredients that we have not found in many pre workout supplements before. All in all, we’re not totally convinced.
Here are some ingredients that NLA For Her could have added to the Uplift Pre Workout formula.
• Citrulline – An amino acid that is found in watermelons and is used in most of the top pre workouts.
• Coconut Water Powder – An often overlooked ingredient that we like to see in supplements like this.
• RedNite – A branded ingredient from Enovate Biolife that is believed to have some pre workout benefits.
Apart from the ingredients, we like to think the biggest improvement the NLA For Her Uplift pre workout could have would be a large reduction in total ingredients and big increase in doses across the board.

The main thing to bear in mind when it comes to pre workouts is the overuse of Caffeine. Our recommended dose is 100mg-150mg.
Sadly, we don’t know the dose of Caffeine used in Uplift because of the proprietary blend. This is far from idea.
We strongly recommend that you check the ingredients label before taking any new supplement to make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients.
We also advise that you speak to your doctor before taking any new supplement for the first time.
Uplift comes with a lower serving than many similar supplements. At just 5g per scoop, you are supposed to take it with at least 4-8 ounces of cold water.
Consumption should take place 20-30 minutes before beginning your training.
The manufacturers recommend using 5g for the first few days and under no circumstances should deviate from that.
After three days, they say that you can reassess the dosage.
Everyone likes to see actual customer feedback, that way we can be more sure that the product is going to do what it says it does. We’ve cherry picked a few comments we found about Uplift online.

Potentially. However, there are far too many ingredients for us to guarantee it is totally safe to do so.
Is it for women?
It will probably work for women in much the same way it does for men. However, we’d have preferred a more transparent ingredient list, as women are often much more careful with what they put in their body.

This makes it a mid-to-high priced pre workout supplement.
As always, don’t expect any supplement to do the hard work for you.
You should always make sure that you’re sticking to a healthy diet and training hard before thinking about any kind of supplementation at all.

Overall, we were a bit disappointed by this supplement.
It does contain a few good pre workout ingredients, but we feel that it’s let down badly by the fact that it uses a proprietary blend to hide the doses of most of the ingredients.
We are also not convinced about the huge ingredients list. We generally prefer supplements that use a smaller number of ingredients at higher dosages.
In summary, we feel that there are other better options on the market right now if you’re looking for a pre workout to help support your fitness goals.
