Choosing the right fat burning supplement can be a hard. Because there are so many different weight loss supplements currently on the market finding the right one can be a real headache.
The purpose of this comparison article is to give you a better understanding of how Protein World’s Fat Metaboliser Capsules and MyProtein’s Thermopure actually work.
We’ll let you know the key points on each product and whether they’re a good choice if you’re looking to cut fat.
So, without further delay, let’s crack on and start comparing Protein World and MyProtein’s fat burner supplements.
Protein World Fat Metaboliser Capsules:
• Made by Protein World
• Supports fat burning
• Improves energy levels
• Thermogenic ingredients
• Made by Myprotein
• Supports weight loss
• Improves energy and concentration
• Speeds up metabolism
At first glance, both of these products seem to offer similar things, as you’re probably aware both these brands are better known for their protein products not necessarily their fat burners.
That being said let’s see what the manufacturers have to say about how their products work.
When it comes to Protein World, they don’t make any obvious claims about their Fat Metaboliser Capsules, all they say is that the capsules work by raising your heart rate.
We have to say we found this statement rather strange as a change in heart rate can often be associated with side effects.
On the other hand, MyProtein’s Thermopure claims to support metabolism as well as improved energy and concentration.
From what we can tell, both products basically work by using natural ingredients to give you a metabolism boost.
Whilst both of these supplements include some decent ingredients, we couldn’t help but feel that they were perhaps just add on products to both of the companies’ main offering – protein powder.
This is an important thing to consider because if you’re looking for an effective fat burner, you want to know that all the company’s time and resources went into creating the best possible product money can buy.
Taking a fat burning supplement regularly is the best way to ensure you get the very best results. To burn more fat you need to be consistently fuelling your body with right ingredients.
As a result, the amount of servings you’re required to take a day often gives you a good read on how effective a fat burner will be.
Protein World’s serving suggestions vary a little, as they recommend taking one capsule twice a day for the first week and then taking two capsules twice a day thereafter. We have to say, we felt this was a little more complicated than it needed to be.
MyProtein, on the other hand, recommend taking three capsules a day on an empty stomach. This is obviously simpler than Protein World, which we like.
If we were being picky, however, we’d still say the daily dose is a little low. We usually like to see fat burners that deliver at least four capsules a day as this ensures that the ingredients are working around the clock.
Each bottle of Protein World Fat Metaboliser contains 90 capsules, which means it will last you around 3-4 weeks if you stick to the recommended daily dose.
Each bottle of MyProtein Thermopure also contains 90 capsules, which means it will last you around 30 days if you stick to the suggested dosage of three capsules per day.
The next thing we’re going to scrutinise is the all-important ingredient list.
From what we can tell both products are quite similar although there are a few differences.
Here is a complete comparison of the ingredients of both products:
So, as you can tell from the label, both products contain a number of the same ingredients – Caffeine Anhydrous, Green Tea Extract and Cayenne Pepper as well as B Vitamins.
MyProtein Thermopure contains slightly less caffeine than Protein World but only by 50mg. Protein World also contains more Green Tea by around 150mg per serving.
The two products contain very similar amounts of Cayenne Powder and Vitamins B6 and B12.
What we were really surprised about when comparing these two fat burners, was that both of them are missing two of the best fat burning ingredients – Green Coffee and Glucomannan.
These are key ingredients in any top fat burner as they’re known to help with metabolism and appetite reduction, it was a shame not see them in either of these supplements.
4) Side effects
Natural fat burning supplements are generally safe for anybody to use. It’s always recommended that you check the label however, especially if you have allergies.
We don’t have any specific concerns about the ingredients in either of these products.
The main thing to consider is the fact that both of them contain quite a lot of Caffeine. This can be an issue for some people who are affected by stimulants.
Protein World’s claim that it works by changing your heart rate seemed particularly odd to us. A change in heart rate can cause side effects such as Nausea, Insomnia and Anxiety. We didn’t like the sound of that to be honest.
MyProtein also contains a solid dose of Caffeine, so if you’re going to take either of these products, then we wouldn’t recommend doing so close to bed time. This could disturb your sleep and negatively affect your training.
The final category we’ve compared is the price. Which is the best deal out of Protein World’s Fat Metaboliser and MyProtein Thermopure?
These prices are from the official website of each product:
Protein World Fat Metaboliser (90 capsules) – £22
MyProtein Thermopure (90 capsules) – £15
Both of these fat burners can be described as budget options.
The Fat Metaboliser Capsules are slightly more expensive which is more than likely down to the fact it has slightly bigger doses of certain ingredients.
We would say the prices were quite affordable for a supplement in this category.
So, there we have it, our comparison of Protein World’s and MyProtein’s fat burners.
Hopefully this article will have given you a better idea of the two products and whether they’re worth investing in.
Our main concern with both these fat burners is that they’re missing a couple of key ingredients that we like to see in these types of supplements, as a result neither of them made it into our top 5 fat burner lists for either men or women.
