It’s certainly an interesting supplement, as it stands in between a pre workout and a BCAA supplement, and it’s presumably aimed at people who want to feel the benefits of both types of product.

This supplement contains doses of some of the important Branched Chain Amino Acids: Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine at the commonly-used ratio of 2:1:1.

However, THE Amino Boost formula also stretches a bit further than you’re ‘standard’ amino acid supplement, as it also contains a range of other amino acids including L-Citrulline, L-Theanine and L-Glutamine.

As well as the main amino acids found in its formula, THE Amino Boost also contains some other ingredients including Caffeine, Vitamin C and Green Tea Extract.

Each serving of THE Amino Boost contains 100mg of “Natural” Caffeine. This is about the same amount of Caffeine you’d expect to find in a regular cup of coffee.

It’s certainly an interestingly-positioned supplement, and it can be viewed as a pre workout with some added amino acids.

How To Take It

The directions for this supplement are pretty straightforward. They simply say that you should add one scoop (10g) to 250-350ml of water or juice in a shaker before, during, or after exercise.

The directions also say that you can enjoy this supplement around exercise or as a pick-me-up throughout the day.

The Taste

We tried out the ‘Watermelon’ flavour of THE Amino Boost, but there are also some other options when it comes to the flavours.

We mixed one scoop into a glass of water as the label directed us to.

The mixture took quite a few stirs to finally dissolve into the water, and it turned the liquid a light pink colour.

In terms of the flavour, it was not the best supplement drink we’ve ever tried, although it wasn’t the worst either. It did have a fruity taste, but it also was a bit ‘synthetic’.
