Indeed, the product description says that the supplement has been specifically formulated to help you “break barriers”, set after set and rep after rep.
THE Pre-Workout is available in a number of different flavours:

It’s great to see such a wide variety of flavours offered, as it means you’ll likely find one that suits you best. We went for the Blue Raspberry option for the purpose of this review.

• Beta Alanine – This is another commonly used pre workout ingredient. Beta Alanine is what’s known as a ‘non-essential’ amino acid, and it’s one of the main inclusions in THE Pre-Workout at 1.6g per serving.
• L-Carnitine – Another very popular pre workout ingredient, L-Carnitine is a derivative of the amino acid lysine, and each serving of THE Pre-Workout contains 500mg.
• Choline – This is an essential nutrient that’s found in foods such as meat, eggs and dairy products. Choline helps to support normal lipid (fat) metabolism.
• Guarana – This is a plant extract which is a source of Caffeine. It’s essentially another stimulant in THE Pre-Workout formula, and it is 22 per cent Caffeine, according to the label.
• Capsimax – This is a branded ingredient which is essentially a capsicum extract from red hot chilli peppers. It’s usually more commonly found in so-called ‘fat burner’ supplements, but that doesn’t make it a bad inclusion in a pre workout.
Some of the other ingredients in THE Pre-Workout formula include L-Arginine, TeaCrine, Vitamin C and Betaine Anhydrous.
We tried out the Blue Raspberry flavour for the purpose of this review.
The powder is very, very fine, which definitely sets it apart from some of the grainier powders found in some of the other supplements we’ve tried recently.
We found that it dissolved pretty quickly into a glass of water and required minimal stirring – and it immediately turned the water a bright blue colour.
It tasted pretty good. It was very sweet and also pretty fruity, and the aftertaste was not too bad, even if it was a bit ‘synthetic’.
All in all, the taste was decent and definitely not the worst we’ve tried when it comes to a pre workout.

THE Pre-Workout is a premium-priced supplement, and for that reason it may not fit into everyone’s budget.
One tub containing 30 servings currently costs around £25 from the official Myprotein website. It works out at about 84p per serving.

How To Take It
Each tub contains 30 servings.
The suggested use directions are fairly straightforward. They say that you should mix one scoop with 300-400ml of water and consume the drink around 30 minutes before starting your workout.
Because of the Caffeine content in this supplements, it’s probably best not to consume it within about six hours of when you plan to go to sleep.
We always recommend that you speak to your doctor before thinking about trying any new supplement for the first time, or making any major lifestyle changes.
There is a warning on the label about the high Caffeine content in this supplement. It says that this supplement is not recommended for children or pregnant or breast-feeding women (175mg Caffeine per 14g serving).
