The Pre Workout Booster comes in a powdered form in a tub. As is the case with most pre workouts, you mix the powder with some water and drink it before starting your exercise session.

At the time of writing, this supplement was available in six different flavours. We tried out the Tropical Punch flavour. The full list of flavours currently on offer are:

The product description on the official Women’s Best website, at the time of writing, said that this supplement provides a “super pre-workout power boost” to help you get through some intense training sessions.

As is the case with most pre workout supplements, this product contains a small dose of the stimulant Caffeine. We’ll cover the ingredients in a bit more detail below.

The label on the tub we bought said that the supplement was gluten free, lactose free and suitable for Vegans. Our tub was 300g and contained 30 servings. The label also said that this supplement is both “naturally and artificially flavoured”.

According to the nutritional information on the label of the product we tried, each 10g scoop contains just under 19 calories in total, with 0.1 grams of sugar and just 1.8 total carbohydrate. These numbers may vary based on the flavour you choose, so be sure to carefully check the label.

So, now that we’ve covered the basic points about the Women’s Best Pre Workout Booster, it’s time to start taking a closer look at the actual ingredients label.

The Ingredients

Let’s start off by looking at the active ingredients of the Women’s Best Pre Workout Booster, as shown on the label of the product we tried:

• L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate
• Creatine Monohydrate
• Maltodextrin
• Beta-Alanine
• L-Citrulline Malate
• Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate

The other main ingredient that stands out on the list to us is the old favourite Caffeine. You probably already know that Caffeine is one of the most widely-consumed stimulants on the planet. Each 10g scoop of Women’s Best Pre Workout contains 100mg of Caffeine. That’s about the same amount you’d expect to find in a strong cup of coffee.

Because of the Caffeine content in this supplement, it’s probably best not to consume this product too close to bedtime, and it’s important to keep track of your total Caffeine intake from other sources to make sure that you’re not overdoing it.

Another ingredient on the list is L-Citrulline Malate, which is a form of an amino acid commonly found in watermelons. L-Citrulline is a common pre workout supplement and it’s good to see it on the list.

Other ingredients in the formula include L-Tyrosine, an amino acid, and L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate, another common pre workout ingredient.

It’s worth noting that this supplement uses the sweetener Sucralose to help with the flavour.

One thing we noticed was that this supplement doesn’t seem to include any vitamins and minerals as ingredients, despite them being common additions to other similar products.

The Taste

Firstly, we found that the Women’s Best Pre Workout Booster mixed really well into water. In fact, we didn’t even need to stir or shake it very much, as the powder simply dissolved and fizzed into our glass of water.

As mentioned above, we were trying out the ‘Tropical Punch’ flavour. It had a nice, sweet taste to it, and we could certainly find hints of the ‘tropical’ fruits in there.

It did have something of a ‘synthetic’ aftertaste, but this is often the case with supplements like this. All in all, it came across as a pretty good-tasting supplement.

As we mentioned above, there is a warning on the label saying not to consume more than two servings per day. Presumably, this means do not take more than 20g a day in total.

We took a look on the official Women’s Best website to see what people were saying about this supplement.

At the time of writing, the official site reported 2,127 reviews of the supplement, with an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars.

The feedback we found on the official site seemed to be largely positive, but this is probably not too much of a surprise given that they are on the manufacturer’s website.

We also took a look on the Holland and Barrett website in the UK. There, it had an average rating of 3.8 out of five stars from six reviews at the time of writing.
