The centre-half is believed to earn £10,000 a week with the north London side on his first contract with the club.

Arsene Wenger’s current contract at Arsenal is believed to be worth around £160,000 a week to the Frenchman.

The Gunners boss is believed to take home a yearly salary of around £8.3m, placing him as one of the highest-paid football managers on the planet.

It remains to be seen whether Wenger will extend his contract beyond the summer of 2017.
