With the festive football over for another year, it’s time for the Premier League player of the month for December to be decided.

Chelsea maintained their 100 per cent record during the festive schedule thanks to victories over Manchester City, West Brom, Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Stoke City.

Manchester United won five of their six Premier League games last month after bouncing back from a 1-1 draw at Everton to beat Tottenham, Crystal Palace, West Brom, Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were unbeaten apart from defeats in early December, while Arsenal bounced back from two losses on the road to end 2016 on a high.

From Chelsea striker Diego Costa to Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, and Manchester United centre-forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Dele Alli, who do you think deserves to win the EA Sports player of the month for December?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s impressive form over the last month has been integral to Manchester United’s unbeaten December, with the veteran Swede moving to joint second in the goalscoring charts with 13 in the league.

Ibrahimovic’s hot-scoring streak isn’t too surprising when his shooting is analysed, with Manchester United’s number nine registering the joint highest shooting accuracy of any player who took more than 15 shots over the course of the month (53%).

Next up is an Arsenal forward. Can you guess who we are talking about?
