Carlos Alcaraz has given his opinion on Donald Trump attending his US Open final against Jannik Sinner.
Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in the US Open semi-final to set up yet another Grand Slam final with Jannik Sinner.
There is plenty riding on the US Open final as Alcaraz could overtake Sinner as World No. 1, and the president has confirmed his attendance.
Alcaraz has revealed his thoughts on Trump attending his much-anticipated clash with Sinner at Flushing Meadows.

Carlos Alcaraz says playing in front of Donald Trump will be a ‘privilege’
Trump’s attendance will be his first time at the US Open for a decade and the first time a sitting president will be at the tournament since Bill Clinton attended Pete Sampras vs Lleyton Hewitt in 2001.
Alcaraz was asked what he thought about Trump attending the 2025 US Open final, and he was suitably gracious.
“I will try not to think about it. I don’t want myself to be nervous because of it,” explained the World No. 2.
However, the Spaniard did reveal what he thought it meant for the broader appeal of the sport. “It’s great for tennis to have the president in the final.”
The World No. 2 is used to playing Grand Slam finals in front of notable figures, having played the 2025 Wimbledon final in front of King Felipe of Spain.
Jannik Sinner is looking to break a two-year streak against Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open
Alcaraz holds a positive head-to-head record over Sinner, with nine wins from their 14 matches since 2021.
Sinner has only beaten the Spaniard on a hard court twice, with his last victory on the surface coming over two years ago.
The Italian defeated Alcaraz in the Miami Open final on the surface, dispatching his great rival in three sets in April 2023.
Alcaraz has won their last two meetings on hard court surfaces, at Indian Wells and the China Open in 2024.
