Jack Draper is Britain’s biggest hope since Andy Murray at Wimbledon as he heads into the Grand Slam as the World No. 4.
The British No. 1 has had a superb year in 2025, with his defining achievement coming with his win at the Indian Wells in March.
Draper heads into Wimbledon with a tough draw, which could see him play Novak Djokovic, Marin Cilic, and Alexander Bublik before the semi-finals.
Nevertheless, Draper has every chance to make history at Wimbledon and he’s revealed what he needs to do to compete with Sinner and Alcaraz.

Jack Draper needs Alcaraz and Sinner’s ‘time’ and ‘experience’
Draper believes Alcaraz and Sinner’s added experience at the top of the ATP Tour is the biggest difference between the Briton and the top two players in the world.
“It’s time, it’s experience — they have much more of that than me right now,” Draper said in an interview with The Standard.
“They’re similar ages, but they’ve been on tour being a top player maybe a couple of years more than I have,” continued the World No. 4, who begins his Wimbledon against Sebastian Baez.

The star believes he can get to the level of the best two players on the ATP Tour, having beaten both of the stars.
“I’m still a long way from where they’re at. I aspire to be with them, but right now I’ve got to focus on myself and work hard to prove that I can get to their level.”
Draper defeated Sinner at Queen’s in 2021 and followed it up with a win at the same tournament against Alcaraz three years later.
Jack Draper doesn’t talk to Andy Murray about Wimbledon pressure
In the same interview, Draper opened up about the pressure of being Britain’s biggest hope at Wimbledon.
The star revealed he’s yet to talk to either Andy Murray or Tim Henman about how to handle the expectation as the hometown favourite.
“I’ve got people to lean on in Murray and Henman,” said Draper about his relationship with the two former British No. 1s.
He continued: “I’m very fortunate to have that, but I haven’t spoken too much to them about it. Everyone’s on their different journey.”
Draper has never reached past the second round at Wimbledon after crashing out at the second time of asking in 2022 and 2024.
