WWE fans are furious with John Cena as his latest wrestling schedule has been scuppered by a new Hollywood film.
The star is currently only scheduled for one WWE appearance before he faces Cody Rhodes in the main event of SummerSlam.
The WrestleMania rematch is the showcase match of the first-ever two-night SummerSlam event at East Rutherford, New Jersey.
John Cena is set to retire from WWE in 2025 after promising 35 to 40 professional wrestling dates before the year ends.
Now, Cena has announced a brand-new film role which will massively hamper his summer schedule in WWE, and fans are far from happy.

Cena is currently filming the upcoming Netflix film, ‘Little Brother’, which means he’ll only be appearing once before SummerSlam.
Fans are not happy with Cena’s lack of appearances ahead of WWE’s second biggest show of the year and have taken to social media to share their disgust.
“The Cena comeback story is losing its aura!” said one fan on X and they weren’t alone in their frustrations with the WWE star’s final year.
“I thought he said he was taking a break away from Hollywood in 2025?,” asked one fan, before adding: “It’s affecting his run!”
Another said, “This is the biggest SummerSlam in WWE’s history. John only showing up once is bad timing!”
Cena has wrestled the likes of Randy Orton, CM Punk, and R-Truth during a WWE retirement tour that saw him dramatically turn heel at Elimination Chamber.
Fans have been mixed on Cena’s final year with WWE, with some calling his shocking heel turn a disappointing failure.

Cena has around 15 dates left with WWE, with his match with Rhodes at SummerSlam his only announced match so far.
Fans expect the star to face his old rival AJ Styles one more time, with others such as The Miz and Joe Hendry also touted.
The closer the 17-time World Champion gets to his finishing line, the more likely it is he’ll start putting new stars over.
Matches with the likes of Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker could happen before the end of 2025, as well as the potential of a dream match with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
