Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather are set for a first-ever meeting in 2026 as an exhibition match has been announced between the two boxing legends.
Tyson and Mayweather’s fight has shocked experts, with many comparing the upcoming exhibition match to the sports entertainment-style of WWE.
Mayweather and Tyson is a certified dream match, but critics believe it’s far too late for both men and it’s simply a cash-cow for the icons.
Both men have a history with the professional wrestling company, and there’s every chance they could return to wrestling after their controversial bout.

Floyd Mayweather said a WWE return was ‘likely’ in 2017
Floyd Mayweather made his WWE debut in 2008 at WrestleMania 24, where he took on The Big Show in a No Holds Barred Match in Orlando, Florida.
Fans were impressed with the match he produced with the World’s Largest Athlete, and the boxing legend has not ruled out another match with the company.
“As far as the WWE, the WWE was not a good experience, but a great experience to do something that when I was a kid I used to love,” Mayweather said in an interview with GiveMeSport.
“I can’t say what the future holds, but if they came to me again, most likely I may do it again,” revealed the boxing icon.
Mayweather was trained by Triple H for his WrestleMania match, so there’s every chance of a return for the boxer.

Mike Tyson ‘would love’ to return to WWE
Boxing legend Mike Tyson has dipped his toe into the world of professional wrestling on several occasions since the Attitude Era.
‘Iron Mike’ was the special guest enforcer for the WrestleMania 14 match between ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels, which saw The Texas Rattlesnake win the WWE Championship.
The star also made his WWE in-ring debut on Monday Night Raw in 2010 when he teamed with Chris Jericho to take on Triple H and Michaels.
Tyson loved his time in WWE and has not ruled out another run with the company. In a 2025 interview with Bleacher Report, Tyson expressed an interest in making a return to professional wrestling.
The boxing icon explained: “Oh God, I would love to do that, that’s me at my childhood best, I had a great time.”
Tyson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame celebrity wing in 2010 for his services to the company.
