Seth Rollins came out on top in this year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

The five-time world champion beat the likes of LA Knight, Penta and Solo Sikoa to emerge with the briefcase which he’ll use to gain a championship match of his choosing.

Many believed that Rollins was the clear choice to win the match, unlike the women’s Money in the Bank contest where Naomi emerged victorious alongside several other viable candidates.

In the main event of the evening, R-Truth made a stunning return to attack John Cena after he publicly addressed the complaints from the fans following his departure which now looks to have been reversed.

As a result of his win, Rollins has even been able to get one over his arch rival, having taken a WWE record away from him.

Seth Rollins equals CM Punk’s Money in the Bank record following second win

With his 2025 win, Seth Rollins has now become just the second superstar to record two Money in the Bank ladder match victories.

His first win came back in 2014 where he won the briefcase in June before cashing in his contract the following year in the ‘heist of the century’ at WrestleMania 31, pinning Roman Reigns to become the World Heavyweight champion.

The only other person to have won two Money in the Bank ladder matches is CM Punk, who has continued to feud with Rollins ever since he made his stunning return to the promotion in November of 2023.

Punk won back-to-back briefcases at WrestleMania 24 and WrestleMania 25, cashing in to win the World Heavyweight championship on both occasions, pinning Edge and Jeff Hardy.

This also means that Rollins now holds the record for the longest time between Money in the Bank wins with his cash-in set to be a major factor in the coming months.

WWE fans claim LA Knight was ‘robbed’ at Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins was a big favorite to win Money in the Bank this year, which isn’t surprising given that his new faction alongside Paul Heyman has been one of the top acts on the roster since they joined forces at WrestleMania.

However, based on the reaction to WWE’s graphic after Rollins unhooked the briefcase, a lot of fans were pushing for a different result.

Many of the replies to the post claim that LA Knight was ‘robbed’ with the former two-time United States champion being yet to win the contract.
