Reports have emerged about Conor McGregor’s attempted WWE debut at WrestleMania 34, which has begun speculation about whether the star could still debut in wrestling.
Former WWE star Enzo Amore told Julian Dorey that he was lined up to face McGregor at WrestleMania in 2014.
The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion has often been on WWE’s wish list, but the suspected match has never happened.
Triple H has already shared his thoughts about whether he’d want McGregor to wrestle in the company.

Triple H is interested in a Conor McGregor WWE match
Triple H has previously suggested McGregor would be a hit inside the entertainment world of professional wrestling.
After McGregor reportedly turned down an appearance at WrestleMania 33, The Game praised the UFC icon.
Speaking to The Telegraph (via Fox Sports) in 2020, The Game revealed: “He could come over, he’s got it all, man.
“He’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure. He could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show.”
There might still potentially be a door wide open for McGregor now that Triple H is the Chief Content Officer of WWE.
Conor McGregor dismissed joining WWE in 2024
Despite WWE’s interest in the Irish star, McGregor has often dismissed their attempts for him to join the wrestling company.
Asked by Adam’s Apple if he would think about joining WWE, the UFC legend revealed: “You never know,” before adding: “Not at this moment.”
If McGregor did jump ship from UFC to WWE, he would join the likes of Ken Shamrock, Brock Lesnar, and Ronda Rousey as stars who have moved to professional wrestling.
McGregor is still expected to fight another time in UFC, which would scupper WWE’s plans to sign the Irishman.
