WWE: Unreal is the latest collaboration between the professional wrestling giant and Netflix.
The collaboration began with WWE Raw airing on the streamer in January, but Unreal is by far and away their most controversial collaboration yet.
Set to peel back the curtain of professional wrestling’s worked nature, both Rhea Ripley and CM Punk have called WWE Unreal ‘strange’.

When does WWE: Unreal air?
WWE: Unreal will debut on Netflix on July 29. The streaming giant are releasing every episode to binge watch from that date.
Which WWE stars are set to appear on the show?
According to Netflix, WWE: Unreal will feature some of the biggest stars in the company for the documentary series.
Triple H, Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Rhea Ripley, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, and Xavier Woods have already been confirmed for the show.
Triple H has been confirmed as the narrator of the series.
How many episodes of WWE: Unreal are there?
The first season of WWE: Unreal is set to include five episodes, each one with a running time of 50-minutes.
The five episode titles are as follows: ‘New Era’, ‘Push’, ‘Worth the Wait’, ‘Heel Turn’, and ‘WrestleMania’.
When does WWE: Unreal take place?
WWE: Unreal follows the backstage activities of Triple H preparing for their biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 41.
The ‘Road to WrestleMania’ will be shown from its inception up to the final product, which featured the main event matches Cena vs Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs Punk vs Seth Rollins.
What have wrestlers said about WWE: Unreal?
Punk and Ripley are not the only wrestlers or former stars to share their doubts about the controversial Netflix show.
On his podcast, ‘The Snake Pit’, WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts dubbed the new show ‘foolish’.
However, former Intercontinental Champion Ryback took umbrage with Roberts’ views and shared his in response.
I truly believe WWE: Unreal is one of the best things for wrestling and wrestlers,” said Ryback in a lengthy post on X.
“Wrestling is one giant production,” Ryback concluded as he continued to speak up in defence of WWE: Unreal.
