Cody Rhodes has appeared in a trailer for a massive Hollywood movie and fans can’t get over his brand-new look.
The WWE star has become one of the biggest stars in the company since returning after a three-year stint in AEW.
He became WWE Champion after defeating Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 and held the title for a full calendar year.
The American Nightmare is now following in the footsteps of The Rock and John Cena by making his first steps in Hollywood – but fans are bemused by what he looks like.
WWE fans can’t get over Cody Rhodes’ wig in Naked Gun trailer
The former WWE Champion is set to star in the Liam Neeson film, The Naked Gun, which is released in cinemas on August 1.
The film is a remake of the 1988 cult flick, which starred Leslie Nielsen, David Zucker, and O.J. Simpson, and will act as Rhodes’ first-ever Hollywood film.
Rhodes appears for a brief moment in the trailer, donning a blonde wig that is swept to the side of his face.
Fans were stunned by Rhodes’ new look and took to social media to joke about the WWE star. Cody looks goofy!” said one fan on X.
“Bro looks like Zac Efron,” said another star, while another compared him to another legendary pop culture figure. “In the next Barbie movie, he should be Ken,” they said.
Others, however, were far more complimentary about Rhodes’ brand-new look for his Hollywood acting debut.

While some fans were critical of Rhodes’ comedy wig, others couldn’t wait to see their favourite WWE star in Hollywood.
“I like that wig on him!” said one complimentary fan, while another wrote: “It’s good to see wrestlers getting mainstream gigs.”
“Academy Award is getting added to Cody’s resume on his way to peak superstardom,” said another fan on X.
Rhodes has also teased a role in the upcoming Mortal Kombat film as popular character Johnny Cage, although that is yet to be confirmed.
