Jose Mourinho is planning to bring some much-needed stability to Chelsea during his second spell in charge at the club.
The 50-year-old signed a four-year deal earlier this month to return as Blues boss just days after his departure from Real Madrid.
Mourinho has already indicated that he is hoping to at least see out his contract and would consider extending it if given the chance following spells at Inter Milan and Madrid since his departure from Chelsea in 2007.
And the Portuguese coach insists that the west London club is keen to implement stability at all levels following his return to Stamford Bridge, with eight managers having taken charge at Chelsea since his exit.
“We need to go back to this stability,” said Mourinho. “It’s important for the players, for the young players’ development, for the club, for the fan base and for the economic situation which is more important with Financial Fair Play.
“This is what we want, me as a manager, the owner and the board. The owner and the board want stability and then after that if we are working well and working together, success comes naturally.
“Everybody accepts the way we are going. I’m not trying to push in a different way. We are all in the same direction.”
Mourinho led Chelsea to two Premier League titles during his first spell at Stamford Bridge between 2004 and 2007.
