There’s no doubt that the arrest of Steven Gerrard couldn’t have come at a worse time for Liverpool.

Yesterday’s battling draw against Chelsea marks the end of a successful first year for Roy Hodgson as Fulham manager.

After heavy fog in the mornings of Day four and Day five, it was inevitable that the game was going to finish up as a draw between the hosts India and the tourist England.

England have far from enjoyed their tour of India. They slumped to a miserable five straight defeats to India in the one-day internationals and a defeat in the first test.

Christmas time is one of my favourite periods in sport and for me, one of the highlights in December has to be the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
