The time for talking is almost over as Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois finally meet again.
Usyk faces Dubois at Wembley Stadium on 19 July in a repeat of the heavyweight contest that took place in Wroclaw, Poland back in 2023 when Usyk controversially won.
Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has backed Usyk to win with a $500k bet wheresas Joe Joyce thinks ‘The Cat’ could be troubled by Dubois’ punching power.
Both fighters know that the chance to become the undisputed champion of the heavyweight division is on the line and as a result, plenty of money is on the line.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2 prize money revealed
It’s no surprise to hear that Usyk is one of the highest earners in boxing and he will pocket the majority of the purse from this fight.
According to News Ukraine, the fight will see the pair land a record pay day of £150m ($200m plus).
The purse is split 65/35 meaning that 38-year-old will take home £97.5m (around $132m) and Dubois £52.5m (about $71m).
This is a record-high for both competitors and their totals will be topped up with extra depending on Pay-Per-View sales and sponsorship deals.
Before this weekend, Usyk’s highest pay day from a fight night was in his rematch against Tyson Fury and for Dubois, it was when he defeated Anthony Joshua.
How does the prize money compare to Usyk vs Dubois last time out?
Two years is a long time in boxing and while Usyk has ruled supreme at the top, Dubois has rightfully fought back to climb up the ranks and put himself in a position to challenge.
Their fight in Poland was still high-key, but the pay was far, far less.
| Year | Oleksandr Usyk earnings | Daniel Dubois earnings |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | £4.5m | £1.5m |
| 2025 | £97m | £52.5m |
In a 75/25 split, Usyk was given £4.5m ($6m) and Dubois earned a then career-high pay day of £1.5m ($2m).
Fair to say that both have come a long way and deserve this chance.
