Carlos Alcaraz has once again followed in the footsteps of his idol, Rafael Nadal, after winning Queen’s for the second time.
Alcaraz won his fifth Grand Slam at the same age as Nadal and the similarities between the Spanish giants don’t end there.
Alcaraz and Nadal reached 250 ATP Tour wins one game apart, with the older star reaching the record in 310 matches and his younger counterpart doing the same in 311.
After winning Queen’s Club against Jiri Lehecka, Alcaraz has matched another of his idol’s supreme records.

Carlos Alcaraz has won as many grass court trophies as Rafael Nadal
Alcaraz’s second victory at Queen’s marks his fourth trophy on grass, after his dual wins at Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024.
The 22 year old has a ridiculous record on grass, losing just once in the last three years on the surface. That defeat came at the hands of Jack Draper at Queen’s in 2024.
The fourth grass court trophy victory means Alcaraz is now level with the King of Clay on the surface, despite being just 22-years-old.
Nadal won Wimbledon in 2008 and 2010, as well as picking up a Queen’s Club trophy in 2008 and the Stuttgart Open in 2025.
Carlos Alcaraz emulates Rafael Nadal with Roland Garros and Queen’s victory
The transition between clay and grass is often dubbed one of the hardest parts of the entire ATP Tour, with both surfaces providing different challenges.
Clay is far slower than grass and requires entirely different technique, and many players struggle over the short grass court season as a result.
As such, stars very rarely win both Queen’s and Roland Garros as the competitions are just one week apart.
Before Alcaraz achieved the feat in 2025, it had not been done for 17 years. The last person to do it? Of course, it was fellow Spaniard Nadal.
