Carlos Alcaraz is the winner of Queen’s Club 2025, defeating Jiri Lehecka in what was a blockbuster game of tennis, but of course, the Spaniard prevailed.

And thus concludes Queen’s Club 2025, with Carlos Alcaraz getting his hands on yet another coveted award. But it wasn’t straightforward. Lehecka pushed him the whole way, but ultimately, the world No.2 was just too good for the Czech star.

Alcaraz pocketed over £400k in Queen’s Club prize money, to add to his ludicrous winnings at the ripe age of just 22. A sum that will only grow bigger in the coming months, particularly with Wimbledon looming.

After yet another tournament victory, Alcaraz reacted to his latest honour in the sport.

Alcaraz spoke immediately after defeating Lehecka, lauding the victory as a ‘really special’ one.

He told the BBC: “It’s really special this trophy and this tournament. I’m happy to lift this trophy once again.

“Jiri, you had an incredible week and it’s a nightmare to play against you. Great week, great job and keep it up for Wimbledon.

“It has been an incredible week. I came without expectations and just wanted to play good tennis and to get used to the grass.

“It’s really special playing here every year and I can’t wait to come back next year.”

Alcaraz dazzled at Queen’s and was a fully deserving winner of the competition. He joins Tatjana Maria as the victor of the 2025 singles event.

What’s next for Carlos Alcaraz?

Alcaraz, as well as every other tennis professional and fan, now turns their attention to Wimbledon 2025.

Fans know Alcaraz is the favourite for Wimbledon, but there will be numerous figures such as Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, among others, standing in his way.

Wimbledon kicks off on Friday, the 27th June 2025, and we at The Sport Review can’t wait to see what it has in store.
