Carlos Alcaraz made a startling four-word comment during his Wimbledon final against Jannik Sinner.
The two best players in the world collided on the biggest stage at Wimbledon and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Alcaraz fell to Sinner for the first time since 2023 as he tasted defeat at the All England Club for the first time since 2022.
The Spaniard clearly wasn’t very happy with his form in the final and a comment he made to his box confirms just that.

Carlos Alcaraz makes statement about his form during Wimbledon final
Things fell apart for Alcaraz during the third set when he fell behind for the first time in the match toward the latter stages of the set.
Alcaraz was broken at 4-4, which would give Sinner the vital break he needed to win the third set and take the lead.
After he was broken, he turned toward his team and uttered a worrying phrase about the direction of the match.
“He is playing much better than me,” he told his team as Sinner took control of the Wimbledon final on Centre Court.
Jannik Sinner takes huge lead in the ATP Tour ranking
Sinner has been World No. 1 for nearly 40 weeks and he’s cemented his position as the number one tennis player in the world.
With his Wimbledon victory, Sinner holds a 3,430 lead over the Spaniard in the World No. 2 spot in the ATP Tour rankings.
However, it’s not all bad news for Alcaraz. The Spaniard only has to defend 60 points between Wimbledon and the US Open due to his 2024 displays.
Sinner, meanwhile, will need to perform if he wants to keep his No. 1 status. The Italian is defending 3,200 points due to winning Cincinnati and the US Open in 2024.
