After the drama and emotion of Roland Garros, all eyes turn toward grass court season and the third Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon.
The Spaniard is looking to build on a sensational Roland Garros, which saw Carlos Alcaraz win his second French Open crown.
Alcaraz passed Pete Sampras’ prize money haul with his Roland Garros victory, and he’ll be looking to build on that at Wimbledon.
Carlos Alcaraz has won the last two Wimbledon events, where he hasn’t lost a tennis match since July 3, 2022, when he lost to rival Jannik Sinner in four sets.
The 22-year-old is currently scheduled for his first grass court tournament at Queen’s Club on 16 June, but one thing could mean he has to withdraw from the tournament.

Carlos Alcaraz will do a fitness test before confirming Queen’s 2025
After an intense two weeks at Roland Garros, Alcaraz is a doubt for Queen’s 2025, but his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero has confirmed the Spaniard wants to play the event.
“The plan is to play, but we’ll make a final decision in a few days,” said Ferrero, who has been Alcaraz’s coach since 2019.
“We talked about it mid-tournament, and Carlos told us he was looking forward to going,” continued the 2004 French Open champion.
However, Ferrero has confirmed that Alcaraz will only be playing if he passes a series of fitness tests ahead of the London event.
He explained: “After these days of rest, on Thursday or Friday, we’ll do a test to see how he feels physically and mentally.”
Despite the lack of confirmation for Queen’s 2025, Alcaraz is absolutely heading to Wimbledon to defend his crown.
We’re going to Wimbledon with great enthusiasm,” said Ferrero. “Carlos loves playing there”.
Carlos Alcaraz’s incredible grass court record
At just 22 years old, the Spaniard has been imperious on the grass in his first three full seasons on the surface.
Alcaraz has a 24-3 win record on grass since 2021, including impressive victories over the likes of Novak Djokovic, Danil Medvedev, and Tommy Paul.
