Why Emma Raducanu teamed with Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open
Alcaraz and Raducanu’s team at the US Open was a surprise to fans, but it was a no-brainer for the British No. 1.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, Raducanu revealed: “He’s so nice, very happy, amazing values and just a really positive light to be around.”
‘I’ve known him for years,” continued the 2021 US Open champion. “Wimbledon 2021 was the first time I started getting to know him.
“He was always playing the day before me, I would see him win and then I would have motivation to win and get myself into that position too.”
After those comments, this will likely not be the last time Alcaraz and Raducanu team together.
