Tennis fans are extremely concerned for Carlos Alcaraz as his hectic schedule after the US Open has been revealed.

Alcaraz pulled out of the Canadian Open, meaning his appearance at the Cincinnati Open is his only tournament ahead of the US Open.

The World No. 2 also took a break between Roland Garros and Wimbledon this year to ease his hectic schedule.

However, Alcaraz’s current schedule after the US Open has led to fans taking to social media to share their worry.

Fans demand Carlos Alcaraz pulls out of the Davis Cup

Alcaraz is set to play the US Open on hard courts and follow it up with the Davis Cup on clay in Europe. He’ll then return to the US to play the Laver Cup on hard courts all within a month of each other.

Fans don’t think this is feasible and have taken to social media to share their worry for the Spaniard’s schedule.

“Everyone needs Alcaraz,” said one fan on X, “But it’s actually a crazy schedule!” Another said: “He is young but too much tennis isn’t good. He needs to withdraw from something.”

Another fan wrote: “Carlos should pull out of the Davis Cup and only play the Laver Cup, but it’s never happening.”

“Carlos will try to play everything and crash out,” said one fan before sending a message directly to the star. “Carlos, please skip the Davis Cup.”

Alcaraz is still currently confirmed for the ATP Tour’s Asia tour at the end of the year ahead of the ATP Tour Finals in Turin.

Why Carlos Alcaraz is under pressure to play the Davis Cup

Despite his hectic schedule, Alcaraz will be determined to make sure he’s ready for the Davis Cup this year.

The star missed the Davis Cup earlier this year, as well as the back-end of last year, and the star man is crucial in their progression against Denmark.

Spain have not won the Davis Cup since 2019 and Alcaraz has never tasted victory in the illustrious competition.

For these reasons, it would make it very unlikely for the World No. 2 to pull out of the competition unless he absolutely has to.
