Carlos Alcaraz has once again been spotted partying between huge tennis tournaments, and fans are not on the same page about whether it’ll help the World No. 2 heading into the US Open.

Alcaraz lost the Wimbledon final to Jannik Sinner, which marked the star’s first-ever Grand Slam final defeat.

Following on from the London tournament, Alcaraz was captured partying in Spain with former Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilón.

Fans were mixed about whether this would be a good move for Alcaraz as he looks to win his second US Open crown.

Fans unsure about Carlos Alcaraz’s partying post-Wimbledon

Some fans thought the World No. 2’s actions were warranted after a busy summer schedule that saw him win Roland Garros and Queen’s, and reach the Wimbledon final.

“He definitely needed a break,” said one fan on X. “He looked exhausted against Sinner late on at Wimbledon. Hopefully he can come back strong for the US Open.”

Another said, “This is a much-deserved holiday for Alcaraz. He’s had quite a hectic season! Good to see him having fun.”

Others were less convinced about Alcaraz’s actions, with the Canadian Open on July 26 marking the start of an incredibly busy hard-court season.

One fan wrote: “Alcaraz is partying and Sinner is probably practicing. That shows why he’s world number one!”

“That’s why Alcaraz lost to Sinner,” said another on social media. “He parties too much!”.

Alcaraz is expected to play the Canadian Open, the Cincinnati Open, the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship, and the US Open before the beginning of September.

Why Carlos Alcaraz has the chance to close in on World No. 1 Jannik Sinner

Alcaraz is currently over 3000 points behind World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the ATP Tour rankings, but that could be set to change quickly in hard court season.

The Spaniard heads into the hard court season defending just 60 points after skipping Toronto and an early exit in Cincinnati last year.

Sinner won the US Open, as well as Cincinnati last year, which means the pressure is on the Italian to defend his points.

While Alcaraz cannot overtake Sinner in the end of the summer stretch, he can certainly close the gap as the end of the season looms.
