John Cena and Logan Paul pulled out several surprising moves in their WWE Clash in Paris match with each other, referencing several names from the rich history of professional wrestling.
WWE fans questioned Logan Paul’s performance in the much-anticipated match, but were impressed with Cena’s versatility.
The 17-time champion picked up the win to bounce back from his WWE Championship defeat to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.

John Cena highlights several wrestlers from his past against Logan Paul
Cena and Paul clashed in the middle of the ring for over 25 minutes, and they pulled out some surprising moves from other wrestlers.
The Maverick hit Cena with Cesaro’s Uppercut and Dolph Ziggler’s ZigZag, but it was Cena who made headlines with his shocking move set.
Cena used AJ Styles’ Styles Clash against Paul, which he revealed was a mark of respect to his legendary rival, who he will likely not face again.
The 17-time champion also hit iconic wrestler Christopher Daniels’ Angels Wings, as Daniels worked closely with Cena during his early days in wrestling.
According to Sean Ross Sapp, of Fightful Select, Cena trained with Daniels back in their Ultimate Pro Wrestling days and even appeared in a training video with the star.
Daniels wrestled briefly in WWE, but mostly made a name for himself as part of TNA’s X-Division in the 2000s. The star is currently working as a backstage producer for AEW.
Cena also hit Baron Corbin’s End of Days, which was a counter to Paul hitting AEW star Hangman Page’s Buckshot Lariat as the pair referenced several names from wrestling.

Cena was asked about using Styles’ iconic finishing move on the WWE Clash in Paris post-show with Big E and Jackie Redmond.
The 17-time champion seemingly ruled out one more match with Styles as he revealed the reasoning for the move.
“With 8 appearances left I know I’m not gonna be able to wrestle everybody that has been influential in my life,” said Cena. “Best way I can do is pay homage.”
Cena and Styles collided several times in WWE, including monumental clashes at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam 2016.
