Goldberg made his return to WWE to confirm his retirement match, but fans aren’t sure the 58-year-old is up to the challenge.
The WCW icon has won four World Championships in his career, but he hasn’t wrestled since Elimination Chamber in 2022 when he lost to Roman Reigns.
Goldberg returned to WWE Raw to confront Gunther, and a match with the World Heavyweight Champion was confirmed for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
However, despite the excitement of one final match for the WWE Hall of Famer, fans were far more worried for Goldberg’s health after watching him struggle through his return.

Fans say Goldberg can barely walk after WWE Raw return
Goldberg didn’t look in the greatest shape during his WWE Raw return, as he shuffled his way into the ring.
Couple that with the fact he struggled to make his way to the second rope to taunt and Gunther and fans are worried he may not be up to his final WWE match.
“Is it me, or could Goldberg barely walk to the ring?” asked one concerned fan during the WCW icon’s return.
Another wrote: “Oh dear, Goldberg was limping to the ring. Let the man stay at home, no one wants to see this!”
“The match with Gunther is going to be a disaster,” said another concerned fan, before adding: He can barely walk straight.”
Gunther and Goldberg first came to blows during a tense altercation at WWE’s Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia, in October 2024.
The Austrian was expected to be Goldberg’s final opponent and now the match has been confirmed, with the title on the line.
What else was confirmed on WWE Raw?
WWE has plenty of huge shows on the horizon, with Night of Champions, Saturday Night’s Main Event, Great American Bash, and Evolution all taking place within a two week period.
The company started their roll-out for the huge shows on WWE Raw, with two more championship matches confirmed.
AJ Styles vs Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship was confirmed for Night of Champions on June 28, which will be joined by John Cena vs CM Punk.
As well as Gunther vs Goldberg, Becky Lynch vs Bayley was also confirmed for the June 23 edition of WWE Raw.
This match will likely end up reaching a non-finish to set up another clash at the women’s only PLE, Evolution on July 13.
