Gunther could be lined up for the biggest match of his career against John Cena if reports are to be believed.
After Gunther retired Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the star could be set to become the brand-new legend killer.
The Austrian star will face CM Punk at SummerSlam, but he could also be lined up to face John Cena in his final-ever match, according to WRKD Wrestling.
Gunther already revealed exactly what he wants to happen should he square off against Cena inside a WWE ring.

Gunther wants John Cena to be a babyface for final WWE match
Gunther appeared on The Masked Man Show in June and talk quickly turned to the potential dream match with Cena.
“I think it will be a very exciting match up,” explained Gunther, but he then explained what he believes needs to happen in order to make the match memorable.
The star is desperate for the 17-time World Champion to revert back to a babyface before they face each other.
“I would love the scenario of like me being me and the struggling, pure babyface John Cena,” said the current World Heavyweight Champion.
Cena turned heel at the Elimination Chamber earlier this year and has stayed in his villainous character throughout the rest of the year.
When will John Cena turn back to a babyface?
Cena’s heel turn was one of the most shocking events in WWE history, but it’s widely expected the icon will become a babyface before he bows out of professional wrestling for good.
The star is set to retire in December, but he still has around 15 dates across the year before his final-ever match.
Many believe Cena’s transition back to a babyface will begin against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, when he loses his WWE Championship.
After that, Cena should revert back to the character that made him one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling.
