The venue for John Cena’s final-ever WWE match has reportedly been confirmed, and it’s a place where the 17-time champion has seen plenty of success.
According to WrestleVotes, Cena’s final match will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, live from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
Cena has suggested another venue to WWE, but Triple H opted for a venue that has hosted a whole host of legendary events.
The 17-time champion has been part of several of those shows, and he holds an incredible record in the nation’s capital city.
John Cena has never been pinned at the Capital One Arena
The Capital One Arena was known as the MCI Center between 1997 and 2006, and the Verizon Center from 2006 to 2017, and it’s a place where Cena has seen some incredible success.
The star has not been pinned at the venue, with his only loss coming via DQ in his United States Championship match against Cesaro in 2015.
Cena defeated Chris Jericho at SummerSlam 2005 in the venue, and followed it up with another PLE victory against Triple H and Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series in 2009.
Cena also defeated R-Truth in a WWE Championship match at Capitol Punishment in 2011 and teamed with Enzo Amore and Big Cass in a victory against AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson at Battleground in 2016.
The 17-time champion’s only losses have come in tag team matches, one of which saw Cody Rhodes, JBL, Kane, and Ted DiBiase topple Batista, Cena, and Cryme Tyme at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Ever since the 17-time champion announced his WWE retirement tour, fans have been speculating about his final opponent.
Gunther has been rumoured for Cena’s final opponent, but he’s been off TV since losing to Punk at SummerSlam.
Other names touted for Cena’s final opponent have been Drew McIntyre, Styles, Seth Rollins, and even The Rock.
