John Cena’s WWE retirement tour has been brimming with history-making feats in 2025, and the 17-time champion is set for another record.

Cena earned five stars for his WWE match with Cody Rhodes, which was just his second in his entire career.

The 17-time champion will embark on a European leg of his WWE retirement tour, which will see Cena face Logan Paul at Clash in Paris.

The star’s appearance on WWE SmackDown in Dublin, Ireland will see the company make history and Cena break an incredible 11-year streak.

John Cena set to make first Ireland appearance in 11 years as Dublin gets first-ever TV taping

WWE SmackDown on August 22 will emanate from Dublin, Ireland in what will be the company’s first-ever TV taping in the country.

It kicks off a European tour that will see WWE go to Birmingham, Lyon, and Paris for Raw or SmackDown television tapings.

Cena is advertised for SmackDown in Dublin, Ireland, which will mark his first WWE appearance in the country for 11 years.

The 17-time champion’s last appearance came in 2014 at a WWE house show, which saw him take on Bray Wyatt and Kane in a handicap match.

Cena’s appearances in the country have been sparse across his 23-year WWE career, with the star only wrestling 28 times since 2002.

Which WWE European dates will John Cena appear on?

The 17-time champion is currently advertised for three of WWE’s European dates, with two TV tapings and one PLE.

The star will, of course, wrestle Paul at Clash in Paris, but he’s also expected to be at the two SmackDown’s prior to the much-anticipated French bout.

Cena’s appearance in Dublin will kickstart a stretch of shows that will also see him appear in Lyon, France, the night before Clash in Paris on August 29.

That will leave Cena with just five dates of his retirement tour left, with his final match yet to be announced.
