The Maverick was so close to being right about how Cena would turn back to being a babyface following his heel run.

Back in March 2025, just as Cena has turned heel, Paul made a bold prediction about how the 17-time champion would turn back babyface.
“If there were a team-up in the future, you have to consider that I would then be the one who gets snaked in front of everyone, which has the power to turn him back babyface,” said Paul to Newsweek.
“So, I don’t know if I want to give him that, and I gotta be careful ’cause I’m building and doing my own thing in wrestling,” said The Maverick. “I am a fan of Heel Cena, for sure.”
Cena reverted to a babyface just before his match with Rhodes at SummerSlam, so Paul was mere days away from being correct with his prediction.
The Maverick challenged Cena to a match on the SmackDown following SummerSlam, with a match confirmed between the two for Clash in Paris.
What happened during John Cena and Logan Paul’s previous WWE meetings?
Cena and Paul are set for their first-ever singles match at WWE Clash in Paris, but it won’t be the first time they’ve shared a ring.
Their first meeting came in the 2025 Royal Rumble, which saw both men reach the final four of the legendary stipulation.
Cena eliminated Paul from the match, before succumbing to Jey Uso, who went on to defeat Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The pair also met inside the Elimination Chamber, which was won by Cena, who received a shot at Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41.
Cena and Paul also teamed together against Uso and Rhodes at Money in the Bank, and squared off in a tag team match alongside Drew McIntyre and Rhodes.
