WWE fans were left stunned by Brock Lesnar’s shocking return to the company at the end of SummerSlam.
Lesnar attacked John Cena at SummerSlam, after Cody Rhodes had defeated the 17-time champion for the WWE title.
Lesnar had not previously been seen in WWE since losing to Rhodes at SummerSlam in 2022, and his return has been incredibly controversial.
Triple H revealed the real reason he decided to bring The Beast Incarnate back into WWE after a two-year absence.

Triple H appeared on the WWE SummerSlam post-show to chat about all the events from a breathless night two.
Predictably, talk quickly turned toward The Beast’s shocking WWE return, and Triple H revealed one star is the reason for his return.
The Game said Cena named Lesnar as a star he’d like to face on his WWE retirement tour, which will see him hang up his boots at the end of 2025.
“One of the first things I said to him [Cena] is who do you want, and how, and we’re working through that,” said Triple H at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey after the events of SummerSlam.
Lesnar and Cena have a storied history and met several times over the WWE Championship between 2012 and 2015, including at SummerSlam.
How Triple H reacted to Brock Lesnar’s shocking WWE return
Triple H sidestepped the controversy of Lesnar during the SummerSlam post-show to speak about the excitement he felt upon his return.
“My reaction was exactly what I thought it was gonna be, which was, if there had been a roof on this place, it wouldn’t be here anymore,” said Triple H.
“Seeing Brock Lesnar come back, anything that you thought was happening sort of all goes out the window because the factor of Brock now just changes that dynamic so incredibly,” added The Game.
It’s not yet confirmed when Lesnar will next be appearing in WWE, but his next match will likely be against Cena.
