A veteran WWE star wants to return to the company for the first time in four years to take on Roman Reigns.

The Tribal Chief is back in WWE after a brief hiatus after WrestleMania 41, with Reigns set to face Bronson Reed at Clash in Paris.

Reigns looks Hollywood-bound in the immediate future, but The Tribal Chief’s work with WWE is far from done yet.

If a WWE legend gets his way, Reigns will be gearing up for a shocking retirement match in the near future.

Jeff Hardy wants to face Roman Reigns in WWE retirement match

Jeff Hardy has been flirting with a return to WWE for some time now, particularly with TNA’s current relationship with the company.

Hardy appeared in WWE NXT earlier this year to take on Fraxiom alongside his brother Matt, and the brothers also appeared in the crowd at this year’s SummerSlam.

Hardy has frequently teased one more run with WWE, as well as a Hall of Fame induction, and the star has offered up his dream retirement opponent.

“As far as my solo dimension, I might have to say that a Roman Reigns match would be pretty epic for a last match,” said Hardy in an interview with Outside the Ring.

Hardy praised The Tribal Chief for his 1000+ reign as WWE Champion between 2021 and 2024. “All those years he was a champion, just took it to such a different level,” said Hardy.

Hardy and Reigns have only crossed paths on one occasion, back in 2021. Reigns and The Usos took on Hardy, Xavier Woods, and Drew McIntyre at a house show in Texas.

Roman Reigns isn’t the first WWE star Jeff Hardy has called out for his final run

Hardy often brings up one final run with WWE, and the 47-year-old has also called out another notable star.

Speaking to Tim Hann Rivera, Hardy revealed he’d like one more match in WWE before he enters the Hall of Fame.

“It’d really be special to have a killer match, maybe make CM Punk retire, and then, go into the Hall of Fame,” said The Charismatic Enigma.

Hardy and Punk had a legendary feud during the late 2000s and early 2010s, which included Punk’s heartbreaking Money in the Bank cash-in after Hardy had won the World Title.
