Roman Reigns’ return to WWE has proved that he’s the biggest star the company currently has and he’s set for a huge match at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam could be Reigns’ last WWE appearance for a while, but he is expected to appear on every WWE Raw up until the show.

Reigns looks set to team with Jey Uso against Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker at SummerSlam, with the two Bloodline members throwing out the challenge on social media.

If this match is confirmed, it would break a remarkable decade-long streak for Reigns at SummerSlam.

Roman Reigns set for first WWE SummerSlam tag match since 2015

Reigns has been the company’s top star and, as such, he’s usually booked in the biggest singles match on the card.

His last five SummerSlam appearances have seen The Tribal Chief battle the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Braun Strowman with the WWE Championship on the line.

The last time Reigns took part in a tag team match at WWE’s second biggest show of the year was back in 2015.

The Tribal Chief teamed with Dean Ambrose to take on Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper of The Wyatt Family, which was won by The SHIELD members.

To date, it remains the only tag team match at SummerSlam Reigns has competed in, with his prospective match alongside Uso against Reed and Breakker set to be the second.

What did Roman Reigns say to Jey Uso?

Reigns took to social media to call out Reed and Breakker, and extended an olive branch to his cousin, Uso.

“If Main Event Jey Uso, the yeet man himself, would trust me one last time,” said The Tribal Chief on Instagram.

“I loved it last night,” added Reigns. “I love standing shoulder to shoulder taking on anybody. I love doing that with my family.”

Reigns and Uso have a storied history – and even collided for the WWE Championship in the main event of SummerSlam in 2023.
