WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley has revealed the finishers that hurt the most, including one legend’s, which he believes is the most dangerous.
Tag team icon D-Von Dudley has competed across multiple promotions and crossed paths with the biggest names in the industry.
But he knows the dangers of competing in the ring with his name being synonymous with hardcore promotion ECW.
While used to going through tables and falling from ladders in memorable matches against the Hardy Boyz in WWE, it was not any of those bumps that were the most difficult to take.
Dudley reveals Jeff Hardy’s Swanton dive was the move which hurt the most
Taking to his YouTube channel, Dudley explained it was long-time rival Jeff Hardy’s swanton dive that was the most brutal.
He said: “Jeff, I have said it many times, you hurt me. But I will say being in the ring with you was a pleasure up until the finisher of the match.
“You go up on that top rope you are like no other… (Swanton) It’s like a sack of bricks just laying right on you – it would knock the wind right out of me.”
Hardy’s most iconic move is also a difficult one to take and even caused more harm than John Cena’s finisher, the Attitude Adjustment.
The 52-year-old labelled the WWE’s long-time highest earner John Cena’s move as one of the easiest to take.
But on the Charismatic Enigma’s top rope flip, he clarified: “In all honesty, even though it was a stiff bump at times, I say Jeff took care of me the majority of times.
“So with that Jeff, no disrespect, I have to give that the S tier as being the move that hurt the most and probably the most dangerous move out there.”
Jeff Hardy refused Hall of Fame induction for one big reason
One of the most popular performers in the WWE has been Hardy, whether as a singles star or tag team specialist.
But he has not yet featured in the Hall of Fame, despite an offer from the company.
He refused a recent opportunity to be inducted as a singles competitor, with the incredible CM Punk feud a definite reason.
However, in a recent interview, he claimed to have turned down the induction as it ‘didn’t feel right’ going in without brother and tag partner Matt Hardy.
