Carl Froch could return to boxing after he shared a positive update on the potential of a Darren Till fight.
‘The Cobra’ is not one to shy away from a challenge, as he proved in his career, winning the unified super middleweight titles and going into hostile territory to knock out the likes of Jermain Taylor.
But Froch has not been in the boxing ring since his 2014 rematch victory against George Groves, which took place in front of a packed Wembley Stadium and ended in the eighth round.

Now he may be back in the ring after 11 years, following Till’s brutal knockout win over Luke Rockhold at Misfits 22 in Manchester this past August.
Carl Froch provides an interesting update on the potential Darren Till Misfits clash following the callout
The 48-year-old was called out by ‘The Gorilla’, but in Froch’s response to the callout, he was not overly keen to step back into the ring.
He had already been offered the fight with the former UFC star but turned it down in January, citing a lack of time to prepare for the contest.
Although in his latest response, he has warmed to the idea of lacing up his gloves one more time.
During a video on Froch on Fighting, the Nottingham fighter provided an interesting update on the likelihood of coming back.
He said: “Do I need it? Do I really want it? No and no. But I just thought I’d get the opinion of people that I respect. So I spoke to Rob McCracken, my old coach, and the feedback was positive, more positive than what I thought it would be.
“I actually broke contact with Eddie Hearn. So there’s a little bit more to develop on that front. I’ve also been speaking to Kalle Saureland, who’s really keen because he obviously promotes Misfits and he’s close with Mams Taylor.
“And I’m not writing it off. I’m having a little look in the gym.”
While speaking about the potential clash, he made it clear in a direct message to the Scouser that if anyone is the ‘A-side’, it is ‘The Cobra’ because of his achievements in boxing.
Even if he has not confirmed a definite push for the bout, it seems he may be giving it some serious consideration.
“There’s potential, but the thought of getting the old band back together for one last dance, got to be honest, it’s appealing,” he smiled.
Carl Froch’s brutal response to Darren Till’s choke comments
The Liverpudlian has been serious about this contest since turning to crossover boxing following his stint in MMA, and following the pair’s interaction, he warned that he would have ‘choked Froch out’ if he faced him in the ring.
But it did not seem that the boxing Hall of Famer was too fazed by this threat, as he gave a brutal response to the comments.
“But let’s just be clear about this. He would not be choking out anybody. And the last time I looked, last time I watched a bit of Darren Till in the UFC ring, he was tapping out and getting choked out himself like a little b- – – -. And he taps out really fast as well,” he said.
“He needs to have a reality check and realise who he’s talking to, and he’s calling me on in a boxing match in a professional capacity. Different world, different sport. Listen, there are levels to the game, mate… It’s not your level. It’s not your game. Stay out of my zone.”
If the two were to sign for a fight together, the build-up would be entertaining, and the fight itself would be interesting given the amount of time the former super middleweight champion has spent out of the gym and ring.
