Novak Djokovic was supreme in victory over Britain’s Dan Evans in the second round of Wimbledon.

Djokovic defeated Evans for the first time in a scintillating straight sets victory on Centre Court as he proved why he’s one of the favourites for the tournament.

The star stunned Tim Henman with his incredible serve as he barely gave Evans a look in during a match which involved just one break point for the Briton.

After the match, Djokovic dropped a major hint about what he was going to do with his retirement from tennis – and it may just involve Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Novak Djokovic wants to ‘sup margaritas’ with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

Djokovic was told his win over Evans means he’s into his 19th Wimbledon third round, but the Serbian said he didn’t reflect on moments from his career.

However, the 38-year-old said that’s something he was planning to do once he hangs up his racquets for good. “I’d like to,” explained Djokovic to the BBC on-court after his win.

“But I think that’s going to come when I set the racquet aside and sip margaritas on the beach with Federer and Nadal and just reflect on our rivalry and everything.””

Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal were widely considered the ‘big three’ of tennis for two decades due to their dominance of the ATP Tour.

The trio share 66 Grand Slams between them, with Djokovic holding the most with 24 wins between 2008 and 2023.

Novak Djokovic achieves his 99th win at Wimbledon

Djokovic has been a dominant force at Wimbledon since capturing his first title in London in 2011 and he’s very close to celebrating a huge milestone.

Should he win against his compatriot Miomir Kecmanović in the third round, the star will celebrate 100 wins at the All England Club.

Speaking about the milestone in his post-match interview, Djokovic revealed: “Wimbledon still stays the most special tournament in my heart and the one that I always dreamed of winning when I was a kid. Any history made here is very special for me.”

Djokovic played Kecmanović on Saturday, with a location and time yet to be announced by the All England Club.
