CM Punk is often outspoken, and his 2018 comments about Logan Paul have aged badly following his return to WWE.
Punk is back on top of the WWE card in 2025 after shockingly returning to the company at Survivor Series in 2023.
The Best in the World is set to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship as Punk challenges Seth Rollins at WWE Clash in Paris.
Punk has crossed over with several WWE stars fans never thought he’d get a chance to face, including Logan Paul, which has seen the Best in the World go against his previous comments about The Maverick.

CM Punk refused to face Logan Paul in UFC back in 2018
Punk’s brief foray into the UFC did not end well for the star, and there was one controversial person he refused to face.
“I’m not fighting Logan Paul,” said Punk in an interview with MMA Fighting about a potential UFC bout with The Maverick back in 2018.
“Logan Paul is apparently a popular guy, but it’s not in any kind of avenue that I drive my car on,” continued the Best in the World.

“So, no. I’m not fighting him,” added the former WWE Champion. “I have no interest to.”
Punk went back on those words when he returned to WWE in 2023, facing The Maverick inside the Elimination Chamber in 2025.
The star was also involved in a huge Royal Rumble spot with the social media star, which saw Punk eliminated by Paul.
Logan Paul said he would ‘destroy’ CM Punk in a WWE match
While the two men are yet to face off in a singles bout, Paul has teased exactly what would happen if they did.
“I think I would destroy CM Punk if I’m being honest,” said Paul in an interview with TMZ Sports. “I don’t know if anyone would disagree with that. I don’t think I could, (beat him) I know I could.”
Punk and Paul have shared the ring on several episodes of WWE Raw, too, as the pair continue to tease a singles match together.
Punk is currently preoccupied with Seth Rollins and The Vision, but a match before the Best in the World retires seems inevitable.
