Cody Rhodes is set to return to France as the WWE Champion after defeating John Cena at SummerSlam.
Rhodes beat Cena in a classic SummerSlam main event, which saw the American Nightmare avenge his WrestleMania 41 defeat.
There were some reports Rhodes might miss WWE Clash in Paris, but now he looks set to defend his newly-earned championship.
Rhodes has a history of wrestling in France, and was awarded five stars for his previous match in the country.

Fans have been speculating about Rhodes’ next WWE opponent heading into WWE Clash in Paris, but whoever it is the star has a lot to live up to.
Rhodes wrestled AJ Styles the last time he was in France in the main event of Backlash in Lyon back in 2024.
It was Rhodes’ first WWE Championship defence after finally conquering Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41, and it didn’t disappoint.
The two icons tore the house down in front of a raucous crowd in a 27-minute epic which marked their first-ever meeting.
Rhodes picked up the win to kickstart his WWE Championship reign, which would last an entire year up until WrestleMania 41.
The two men continued their feud throughout the summer, also meeting in an ‘I Quit’ match at Clash in the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland.
Predicting the WWE Clash in Paris card
There is already one match semi-confirmed for Clash in Paris, with Stephanie Vaquer set to challenge for the Women’s World Championship.
Her opponent could either be Naomi or Iyo Sky, who face off in a championship match on WWE Raw in Quebec City on August 11.

As for Rhodes, it’s likely he’ll face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship as the pair have been teasing a feud over the last few months.
