Hulk Hogan’s legendary career produced some incredible moments, but arguably one of his best came later on in his WWE career.
The Hall of Famer had a lengthy career, which surprisingly saw Hogan’s retirement match take place outside of WWE.
The star returned to WWE several times after he retired, most notably when he opened WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans.
Hogan appeared alongside The Rock and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin as they kicked off the show in incredible fashion.

Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Steve Austin opened up WrestleMania 30
In a moment that truly crossed generations in 2014, WrestleMania 30 opened with three of the biggest stars in history.
Hogan, The Rock, and Steve Austin arrived at the Superdome to open the show in some style for WWE fans who couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
The three men cut laid-back promos as they rattled through their incredible catchphrases on WWE’s biggest stage.
Hogan wrestled The Rock at WrestleMania 18, but never had the chance to clash with The Texas Rattlesnake.
WrestleMania 30 would mark Hogan’s final-ever appearance at the show that was made famous by the legend.
What did Hulk Hogan think of The Rock?
Hogan was a huge fan of The Rock and often heaped praise on The Great One throughout his illustrious career.
“The Rock, he’s one of a kind,” said Hogan in an interview with Sports Illustrated after his WWE return in 2024.
“He’s on another level,” continued the WWE Hall of Famer. “That was noticeable right away. But one part stood out to me–and I thought it was very clear. Rock still has wrestling in his blood.”
The pair’s rendezvous at WrestleMania 30 will always be remembered as the final time they shared the ring.
