WWE returns with the fourth iteration of Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, since it was brought back by the company in December 2024.
Some huge matches, such as Cody Rhodes vs Kevin Owens, John Cena vs R-Truth, and Gunther vs Jey Uso have taken place on NBC in the aftermath of its return.
The July edition of the show arguably has the biggest match Saturday Night’s Main Event has seen since the show’s return.
Goldberg is set to compete in his final-ever WWE match against Gunther, capping off a superb 28-year, Hall of Fame career.
Here is what we think could happen at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia.

Seth Rollins cashes in Money in the Bank on Goldberg
While it is often expected for professional wrestlers to lose their final match and pass the torch to younger stars, it doesn’t seem like something Goldberg would want to do.
The WCW icon is competing in his spiritual home, and Triple H has proved he’s not against Gunther losing on the bigger stages.
This match being for the World Heavyweight Championship was reportedly a last-minute decision and Goldberg will not hold the belt into retirement.
As such, there is every chance Goldberg wins his final match in his hometown – before Seth Rollins cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become the champion.

This would mean Goldberg gets his final moment and Rollins can hold the top belt once again heading into SummerSlam.
A match with Punk at SummerSlam for WWE Raw’s top strap should be the move heading into the New Jersey show.
As for Gunther, the Austrian has been treading water since WrestleMania 41, and he should be drafted to SmackDown in the upcoming draft.

Seth Rollins defeats LA Knight with interference from debuting stars
If Rollins truly is ending the night as the World Heavyweight Champion, there’s no chance he loses to LA Knight earlier in the night.
Triple H will ensure the Megastar looks strong in defeat by playing the numbers game with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.
Rollins’ new faction will try and help their leader pick up the win against Knight, who is another star who is in desperate need of momentum and motivation after staying over with fans.

However, they won’t be able to get the job done and Heyman and Rollins will introduce two new stars to the faction.
WWE NXT’s Ethan Page and Ricky Starks will appear to cost LA Knight in his match against Rollins, making the faction even more powerful.

Randy Orton bounces back with win against Drew McIntyre
This edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event is brimming with talent that Triple H is clearly not sure what to do with.
Drew McIntyre has been massively wasted following his superb feud with CM Punk and another loss looks like it’s incoming for the Scottish Warrior.
Orton needs the win after succumbing to Rhodes at Night of Champions and McIntyre will be taking the loss here.

It doesn’t look like it will happen at this point, but McIntyre would have been absolutely perfect for Rollins’ faction.
A match vs Roman Reigns should have followed for The Scottish Warrior, but Triple H clearly does not have that kind of faith in the star.
