Ric Flair has praised Logan Paul for the way he’s taken to his WWE career, but he believes a wrestling legend is the reason for his success.
Logan Paul is a controversial figure in WWE, but even his critics concede he’s a technically gifted in-ring performer.
John Cena and Paul impressed at Clash in Paris, and The Maverick has also dazzled against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
16-time World Champion Flair is also impressed with The Maverick, but he’s spotted several signs that a Hall of Famer is behind his success.

Flair was as blown away by Paul’s athletic ability as WWE fans were, but then he realised the star was trained by Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
Michaels worked with The Maverick in the early days of his WWE career, but Paul has also worked with Shane Helms, Drew Gulak, and The Miz over the years.
Flair can see the Heartbreak Kid’s fingerprints all over The Maverick’s wrestling style when he watches him in the ring.
Speaking about Paul’s burgeoning WWE career, the Nature Boy told Escapist Magazine: “I couldn’t figure out how Logan Paul does some s—. And then I realised that he was being trained by Shawn.”
“Shawn can teach anybody, that’s how good Shawn is,” added the 16-time World Champion. “Logan’s a hell of an athlete.”
Paul has competed in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber this year, as well as facing Jey Uso and AJ Styles.

The Maverick lost his bout with Cena, but the star still said he was ‘grateful’ after going toe-to-toe with the GOAT.
In a heartfelt social media post on X, Paul described his match with Cena as “Peak professional wrestling and said the 17-time champion was “An absolute mastermind of the craft.
“Although my hand wasn’t raised, I came away with more victories than I can count,” concluded The Maverick.
It is currently unclear what’s next for Paul, but he will likely return to WWE for the company’s foray to Australia at Crown Jewel.
