Brock Lesnar’s shocking return at WWE SummerSlam changed the entire complexion of the company.
Lesnar attacked John Cena at SummerSlam, hitting the 17-time champion with an F5 to end the New Jersey show.
Cena reportedly pitched for Lesnar’s WWE return and the two men look set to lock horns for the first time since 2015.
The events of WWE Raw lifted the lid on how Lesnar’s return came to be, including conversations with WWE officials Triple H and Nick Khan.

Triple H’s phone call with Brock Lesnar before WWE return revealed
On WWE Raw, Michael Cole explained that he spoke to Triple H and Khan about Lesnar’s shocking return at SummerSlam.
Cole asked about the inception of Lesnar’s return and The Game told him he reached out to The Beast with nine simple words.
According to the legendary WWE broadcaster, Triple H said to Lesnar: “We believe it’s time for you to come home.”
Lesnar had not previously been seen in WWE for two years, with his last match taking place at SummerSlam in 2023 against Cody Rhodes.
Lesnar had been used sparingly under Triple H since 2022, feuding with Rhodes, Omos, and Bobby Lashley.
When is Brock Lesnar’s next WWE appearance?
The Beast Incarnate did not appear on WWE Raw, although the company consistently showed his return throughout the night.
He’s expected to face Cena, who only has four big shows left on his calendar, Clash in Paris, Crown Jewel, Survivor Series, and his final WWE date in December.
Cena is advertised for WWE SmackDown on August 8, which is likely to be The Beast’s next appearance too.
It’s currently unclear where Cena vs Lesnar will take place, but there’s every chance it main events Clash in Paris.
