John Cena is set for his final-ever date in France at Clash in Paris in front of what he has called ‘the greatest crowd of all time’.
Cena will make his WWE wrestling debut in France for the first time at Clash in Paris, where he’ll face Logan Paul in a singles match.
John Cena appeared on Tonight With Jimmy Fallon, calling the French crowd the ‘greatest of all time’ ahead of his appearance at Clash in Paris.
Cena is not the only star to praise the French crowd, as one WWE star called them ‘unbelievable’ after Backlash.
AJ Styles said WWE Backlash made him question retirement
Styles appeared in the main event the last time WWE put on a PLE in France, at Backlash in Lyon following WrestleMania in 2024.
“It was unbelievable, the atmosphere,” Styles told The Metro about his match with Cody Rhodes in Lyon.
“I mean, you got to see it to believe it, it’s one of those,” continued The Phenomenal One. “That’s why it’s so hard guys for guys to retire, nights like that.”
The star is not currently booked for Clash in Paris, although he does look set for a re-match with Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.
The star will surely be desperate for another taste of the French crowd in Paris, having previously called them “Something special.”
Styles and Rhodes put on an all-timer WWE main event at Backlash, which received a five-star rating from the Wrestling Observer’s Newsletter.
What is the Clash in Paris card?
Three matches have been announced for Clash in Paris so far, with several other storylines bubbling away heading into the show.
Naomi is set to defend her Women’s World Heavyweight Championship against Stephanie Vaquer, after the latter won the Evolution Battle Royal.
Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match, against Jey Uso, LA Knight, and CM Punk.
The only other match confirmed so far is Cena vs Paul, but others have been teased. Roman Reigns is expected to face Bronson Reed, while Becky Lynch looks set on a collision course with Nikki Bella.
